My family and I have enjoyed a week away in Corwen, North Wales, visiting a number of local attractions. The natural beauty of the landscape in this locale is something I have really enjoyed and will continue to do so with wonder memories of our brief stay.
On the eve of our final day, we decided to remain fairly local to our delightful holiday let and eat out. With the River Dee on a few metres from its doorstep, The Grouse Inn had an immediate appeal, and dog friendly, too.
In light of the fact we were a party of eight people, we phoned and reserved a table and were pleased the staff were able to accommodate us at relatively short notice. We were able to park in the pub grounds with easy access to the main bar and restaurant.
We were shown to our table and within a few minutes ordered drinks. The food menu provided a broad selection of meals and catered for the more fussy younger members of our family.
We ordered a selection of meals including; Chicken Curry, Steak and Stout Pie, Chicken and Leak Pie, Jacket Potato. The children were also well catered for with chunky chips, Sweet Potato fries and thick slices of garlic bread. It was evident within a couple of mouthfuls our that the food was freshly prepared and with a healthy quantity of good quality meat within our adult dishes. I enjoyed a few of the chunky chips and a slice of garlic bread, which was very tasty, too. Only one of our party had room for dessert, which looked and apparently tasted lovely.
The entire experience at The Grouse Inn, including a ten minute walk around the bank of The River Dee was very enjoyable and very good valid for money. In the event we are able to return at some future, I am in no doubt that The Grouse Inn will feature in our plans. We'll done team, and thank you!

Beautiful scenery, good sized car park, very welcoming and friendly staff. Seated our table of 8 plus 1 dog in a separate room. Stunning and delicious food. Charming decor and photos. Overlooking the River Dee. Highly recommended!

Came here today with our group, Autism Matters as part of our weeks holiday here in lovely wales, had the best lamb sunday dinner i have had since i was a kid, brought back so many happy memories! Fantastic friendly staff who went above and beyond for us. Would absolutely recommend and will be back here next wales trip!!

Came here spontaneously for lunch as we were en route to south wales - couldn?t have found anywhere better! Sat outside with our dog, beautiful views, and fantastic home cooked food. Might be back on our way home again in a few days!

We love The Grouse! Really friendly, home cooked food and a great old fashioned pub. The staff and management all went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after. Recommend.

I suggest you just go and try it. Don?t order a load of sides, you?ll have trouble eating them all - the portions are early generous.

Absolutely lovely Sunday lunch here, we had beef & pork roasts, gravy fab ?. Then shared a blackberry & apple crumble, gorgeous! Extremely good service from ladies & prices compare with other establishments ??
Parking: Not too bad.
