Few ducks. Muddy ponds. Not so naturey nature trail. Reckon it will be better in season. Not impressed.

Great place to view and buy tropical, marine and cold water fish, clean tanks and good selection, very good choice of hardware for the tanks. Staff numbers small and get a more personalised treatment no matter how busy they get. As a bonus you can also go for a small stroll around most of the lakes, nice place to encourage the younger ones to view nature. Restarted fishing again Oct 23, went back to here to remind ourselves how to fish, sat in the sun just enjoying the sun and freedom of it all, they are having a refit of both the shop and tropical fish area, so stocks right now are very limited for both pet fish and course fishing equipment, but once done i expect it will be better than before

It was passable as a visit to see the otter family but a shadow of what it was or could be. I remember the capybara and the whole place feeling more alive years gone by.

FREE nature walk.Nice walk round the ponds. A few ducks. It could do with some fresh energy. Lovely walking just missing a bit of life. Empty ponds full of water but could only see dead leaves .Cafe was nice. Clean ,friendly staff. Prices ok.Shame about the aquatic shop area. Very run down. But that could be near the end of season. Will go again next time we are that way.Did have a really nice latte.

Great bunch of staff who put their heart and soul into the place. Extremely passionate. They are undergoing renovation so have limited stock, and have moved the otters to a new location to avoid them feeling stress from the building work. Still worth a visit as the gardens are so peaceful and the cafe is great - we had afternoon tea with freshly baked scones.

Beautiful place to visit, though nothing in the aquarium shop!

Only given one star because there are no minus ones. Drove 50 miles to a run down shambles, we all wanted pancakes and did without breakfast so we could eat at the pancake house then explore the grounds. The pancake house was virtually empty at 11.30so we thought we would eat first, only to be told that they would not have been able to seat us until 3.30pm, not a viable option especially with hungry kids in tow. We were told that because there was only one chef on duty they couldn't sell us anything to eat outside at the picnic area even. When we expressed our disappointment she said well we're busy because of the school holidays. So it beggars belief that a business is turning people away even tho they're empty, because they haven't hired enough staff in the busiest time of the year. Bad management by any stretch of the imagination.Thank goodness that the pub at the top of the road has a brilliant chef, and wonderful staff. So save yourself the disappointment of travelling down the narrow lane to the pancake house and eat at the Groes Hotel, they serve from 12.00 noon great portion sizes and prices are more than comparable to a pancake down the road.

I absolutely must recommend this place! So it's a little nature park and aquarium supply shop, free to visit and park. Lovely little setting with loads of ponds, ducks, tortoises and otters! (Note no capybara at the moment) Bear with me I'm getting to the food....The best bit total suprise, also a dutch pancake restaurant. Almost all can be made gluten free for me which is very important to me as a Coeliac. Staff very knowledgeable, very good with cross contamination, felt very safe and amazing food and beautiful environment. Highly recommended!!

Came here with my boyfriend in June and had such a lovely time! It definitely needs some work and has its flaws (enclosure size), but matthew who works at the aquarium is doing an amazing job in maintaining and taking care of the site. Fingers crossed it'll find new owners willing to take this park on as it has such good potential! For a free day out, you can't really fault it

Would reserve a table at pancake house if we visited again. Pancakes arrived cold which surprised me as someone definitely looked to be cooking so I can't imagine they were pre made?? Not as filling as we thought they'd be. Large sweet crepes are around 7.00 each.

First visit to Conwy water gardens. Free entry, we spent an hour walking the trail and looking at the "animals" ( ducks and 2 otters) , the otters were cute though. The capybara exhibit is closed. Had a takeaway coffee from the pancake House, all seats outside were reserved and it was a bit drizzly so we sat in the car then headed home. It killed some time on a grey day. The gardens did not have any flowers to speak of, no displays or colour. There are no water Lillie's or anything on the ponds. The bird observation area was empty of seed so no birds to observe. It was all a bit lacking. I'm glad it was free and as I said it killed time on a grey day. I'm sorry I would not visit again.

Staff very helpful and knowledgeable about the fish and setting up the pond.Had a coffee and a delicious lemon cake sat on the patio of the Pancake House. Be warned, if you particularly want to sit outside (digs not allowed inside) you need to book.Went for a walk around the nature trail. Saw the otters. It was lovely

Lush new growth on water lettuce in our pond, aerated by a brilliant fountain, fed by 10 fish merrily swimming about a selection of lovely healthy plants. All on Matthew's advice and guidance. Thanks fella, top man! Very knowledgeable chap indeed.Excellent value vs pounds for long term satisfaction. Everything the shop, the gardens, the cafe and pancake House (cheers to chefs & serversl!) it is relaxing environment. Otters come out later afternoon when it's hotter weather.Pancakes: of course. Try the hot cherry one. You know you want to.

It?s such a beautiful place to visit? I loved seeing all the wildlife and going on the nature trail. In particular I loved seeing the otters. The pancake house is a great spot for lunch and is fantastic if you have a sweet tooth?..The aquatics centre has a great range of fish, turtles and pond equipment. The staff are really friendly and have lots of knowledge in the aquatics field excellent customer service would defiantly recommend.

The water gardens are absolutely beautiful with amazing flowers! The paths are well maintained and accessible on wheels to. The toilet by the entrance could've done with a bit more attention to cleaning but still perfectly usable.Lots of aquatics to suit your needs in the shop and you can see the fish and tortoises in the little aquarium. The also have otters here who are very cute and interesting along with a variety of ducks and chickens to feed. (with duck feed purchased from the gift shop, not bread).Entry is free but there is a gift shop. There's also The Dutch Pancake house where the staff were very accommodating and friendly however we waited over half an hour for our food which although tasty was far from substantial. Does for a nice lite bite but certainly go for a large if you want something more filling. There's plenty of parking.Overall a nice place to visit, nice for kids too and a lovely, interesting little walk on a nice day. :)
