Sign up to a private GP as they clearly can't cope here the management have run this surgery into the ground and can't effectively run a doctor's surgery. I wish I never bothered to sign up here.

Good luck getting an appointment

January 2020 Admittedly all I've done so far is register and have the new patient see the practice nurse; but that all went pretty well. That appointment was carried out almost on time, and with satisfactory results. I suspect no GP surgery in the UK can now meet the demands of all its registered patients. The situation in July 2022 is grim indeed. Since the big rat deserted the sinking ship in Nov 2021, after effectively driving away the only g.p;s at the surgery with any integrity, this place has been run directly by BCU health board. The old expression "all fur coat and no knickers" is perfect. The suspicious overspend on flash new building, car park etc, and then part fill it with sneering NHS Wales staff at all levels. There are now 3 different phone numbers available, classic confuse, delay and deny tactics as they all lead to same insolent recorded message. The practice still clinging to their beloved closed door due to COVID policy as if their jobs depend on it. The health board have just revealed the latest plan to improve things; another "arms length" app. The first info on the app is the phone number of surgery (yea, right, no one had that piece of USELESS INFORMATION already), you are then required to RE REGISTER, using a level of I T. skills and access to hardware seemingly designed to accelerate the early death of already registered long suffering elderly patients. Sub plot to further reduce state pension payments ? Estimated £2.5 billion already saved due to pensioner death by COVID. Clueless, insulting, time wasting, etc; and no alternative. Death in Wales is alive and well. UPDATE NOVEMBER 2023 I recently discovered that it's now possible to actually walk in and talk to reception again; after having avoided the place for over a year. Being in obviously bad shape, I was phoned within 4 hours and offered an appointment FOR THE NEXT DAY. Well raise my rent; who knew ?? Saw an attitude free, new, young, male gp today, got a weeks worth of anti biotics and will live a bit longer. Unbeleievably, some of the old evil still lingers, despite all that was announced. I know now not to go TWO CLOSE to any of it. I wonder if Glan Clueless could improve in the same way ?? UPDATE FEB 2024. Strong indication that the male close is once again employing lizard like tendancies to manipulate the workings of west end to suit his own personal agenda. Why his name no longer appears on the list displayed at reception, despite the specimen releuctantly standing behind the desk telling me he "still worked there", is seen by me as merely a continuation of the grossly unprofesional behavior favoured by close; and repeatedly permitted by BCUHB and NHS Wales. One of the reception staff at west end displays some properties of a brothel madam (clothes and make up), combined with the communication skills of a prison warden (rude and insulting, combined with dismissive attitude). Or she could just be another man hater.

I cannot thank the staff, nurses and doctors enough for all the hardwork that they have put in to help me.Frustrating policies at time but in the grand scheme of things, I've received awesome service from start to finish.Thank you all

I came into the surgery at 8am before work concerned about something, I was in abit of a panic. When I came in I went to reception and Jane was lovely with me, completely put me at ease and understood me and put me on the appointment list. I?m now in contact with the correct people and I am very thankful for Jane.

The lady that works on the prescriptions counter sitting lower down has been more than helpful to me on more than one occasion. I?m sure if all the staff behind the sene were half as good this would be a great practice, I?m sorry I don?t know the ladies name but she is brilliant ( has tattoos) Thank you, Matthew Cooke.

good luck with getting your repeat prescriptions there service is shambolic and designed to inconveniance you . at this place you will run out and then go without and get told to pop in at a certain time .so booked time off work then told it needs signing for and wont be ready for next day despite sitting and waiting in the surgery for 2 hours , they would rather you die and be off the list . and dont for one minute mention your mental health to a doctor at this place as they are more interested in getting you banned from driving with the dvla and accusing you of being an alcoholic instead of helping and supporting you.shocking service and the worst doctors in colwyn bay

Pretty disappointing. I?m a new patient here and called to ask about travel vaccinations (the ones I need are quite pricey private £150/£180 per vaccine, however free with your GP) the receptionist was very unhelpful, and told me to go to boots travel vaccination centre as due to the centre being ?short staffed? they wouldn?t be able to do this. Which rings alarm bells in itself as, this is a new, big centre - why are you unable to find the staff to facilitate this service? Why should I have to pay a fortune, for vaccinations I am entitled to on the NHS through my GP? Doesn?t make sense. I asked if at the very least there would be a nurse I could talk to about the vaccinations that I needed - which again I was completely dismissed and said they do not do ?holiday vaccination advise? although their website says a lot different? I?ve since called another GP surgery in my area who have advised they could do the vaccines no problem, gave me lots of information which was helpful - I will be registering with them today.
