Disappointing visit. Was taken into a room for the first test and advised that a trainee would be carrying out the test. I felt I should have at least been asked if I consented to this. The second test carried out was by a young lady (she carried out my test on my last visit) who was incredibly professional and explained the procedure being carried out thoroughly.
Was then charged for the eye test which should have been a free NHS test given my age. This was quickly sorted out by a Manager. However, for the first time ever in this store I did not buy any glasses as the staff were clearly too busy doing other things.
Was revered to as 'Mate' on 4 different occasions. This is a particular bug bear of mine.

Marie Valena from the Colwyn Bay store was extremely helpful & made me feel welcome. An expert in her field, she answered any questions I had & helped me decide on the most suitable lense option available. Visited the store for an eye test - staff were all genuinely welcoming and approachable. Would recommend the store for their service. Didn?t need glasses so can?t comment on range/selection - but it seemed good.

It was my first visit to this opticians. I had an eye test. Great value for money. The staff were amazingly friendly & professional from start to finish. Text message reminders for my appointment etc.Brilliant.

After going to a well known branded optician in Llandudno, Who were unable to get one of my eyes to focus and saying they did not know of anything else they could do, and told me a retest was not worth doing.I decided to get a second opinion from Specsavers C.Bay.They did not mind at all giving a 2nd opinion (I felt ackward and bad for asking,most places I would feel would not want to get involved) a nice young lady optician got my eye to focus 20/20 straight away.I cannot thank the optician enough for putting me at ease and being professional and helpful.I work in a customer facing business ( and service and even a basic smile is hard to find these days) I could not find any issues with Colwyn Bay, from when I was met at the door, to the lady who did the primary tests or the optician.Again thankyou.

Went for an eye test and on my first visit they were too slow. I know they were busy but I went there on time for my appointment. The whole process of checking my eyes and then waiting to choose new glasses took over an hour. To be fair when I went back to collect my new glasses that was a faster and better experience.

Disappointing experience with the audiology because of poor product knowledge - the staff were friendly and helpful but in the end cost me time and money and I ended up not buying anything ! Frustrating experience

I had symptoms of a detached retina a few months ago. The store organised an emergency appointment within 2 hour of my first phone call. The Optician confirmed the retina was detaching and organised a same-day emergency referral to Abergele Eye Hospital. By 5pm I was having laser surgery, to prevent the problem from worsening, followed by full surgery a couple of days later.Basically, Colwyn Bay Specsavers (along with Abergele Hospital) saved my sight. You cannot ask more of an Optician. They are the best.
