Went to the Pen y Bryn for a group Sunday roast. From booking to the actual event it has been really easy and straight forward. Service was great really officient and friendly and the roast there are just absolutely delicious. I go there quite a lot for Sunday lunch and would definitely recommend it. The Yorkshire puddings are out of thsi world too.

Fabulous gastro pub, service was spot on, food was amazing, wouldnt hesitate to visit again, infact, I'd go out my way to go here again next time I'm visiting North Wales!

We made reservations and so had no wait. Apparently when making a reservation, you have to know to ask for a table with a view. As we were being seated, I asked for the table next to the windows and was told it was reserved. Hostess was fairly abrupt with me. Since this was our first time, we couldn't have known.
The crispy squid with sweet chili mango. Very tasty and nice balance between the sweet and spicy. I had the prosciutto wrapped halibut with muscles as my main. The halibut itself was perfectly cooked and the sauce was very tasty. I thought the dish was overwhelmed a bit by the amount of peas and potatoes. My glass of wine paired wonderfully with the fish.
Though hostess was abrupt, my wait staff was fabulous. She was warm and kind. She helped make the evening better.

Visited here a couple of weeks ago , food was lovely , a tad on the expensive side but was worth it , food was lovely , fish and chips and was a plate full . Lovely place

Heard so much about this pub over the years and we finally got the chance to go for Sunday lunch which I have to say 1 if not the best I've had, service was 100% advisable to book as gets very busy, looking forward to eating off the daily menu soon

This is a fantastic pub with great beer and great food. We went for a Sunday lunch on a beautiful sunny day in February. The views are stunning, book a window table if you can. The roast dinners are epic, beef, pork or the mixed plate. The starters are fantastic too. We tried the Ox cheek and the crab arancini. Both were excellent. They keep beer well too. The Landlord bitter was top notch. Finally we found room to share a chocolate and cherry pudding with raspberry sorbet. Great balance of flavours, delicious!
The staff are all brilliant too, it is a big place but they are all very efficient and friendly. I would encourage anyone in the area to book in to this pub for a meal.

We came across this place via google search while visiting the area and what a find. Beautiful and spacious interior with welcoming staff. The menu offers something for everyone and the food was top notch. Would highly recommend. We will be back for sure.
