Absolutely shocking service and meal this evening, have never had an issue here before but tonight was awful, pie was frozen, smothered chicken was vile and i could have put a window through with my garlic bread. The Staff were arrogant. Not sure if it's been taken over recently but certainly won't be going back.

Generic breakfast buffet, takes your chances with time of fresh goods appearing. Busy with contractors

Probably the worst meal we have ever had , food was either undercooked or burnt , went for my grandaughter's 12th birthday , she never ate , how can you get sausage and mash wrong , sent back aling with cold burgers on other meals , 3 meals came first , then 30min wait for the rest , they were the one's sent back , will never go again and never recommend it , rubbish.

Nice place. Wish it had an indoor area you could take dogs as it was too cold to sit outside.

We reserved a table, although on arrival, there was a sign saying to find a table and order at the bar, so reserving was required for a family of 4. Food was what you expect from. Brewers Fayre, value for money, but not expecting it to be amazing
Dietary restrictions: Milk and soya allergy, there was options on the children's menu,
Parking: Free parking for up to 3 hours
Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid from, staff all very understanding, only had yellow crayons, my daughter would have preferred if there was more colours ?

Was staying at the premier inn and had a meal deal. Premier inn had me book a time slot to watch, usually this reserves you a table. When I walked in here there?s a sign saying ?find a table and order at the bar?. There were very few tables and the ones that weren?t taken were dirty. The queue at the bar to place orders was also very long, queueing into the other room.
As a lone diner it was hard to reserve a table for myself and also order from the bar, especially since I didn?t have a coat or anything to leave and the bar requires you to have a table number.
To top it off service was very slow and people were getting served their starters after their main and I had to remind them twice about my dessert.
Just a poor system all over which I haven?t seen at any of the other premier inn/brewers fayres I?ve stayed at before.

Food was lovely but we had to wait almost an hour for our food
Parking: As a disabled person the disabled parking bays need re marking as the paint has worn away...when we came out a car had parked really close to our car and luckily my wife hadn't had a drink so she could drive....I just couldn't get in that side with such little space for my wheelchair....they'd just parked where the chequered lines should be...you have to remember some people are really that stupid as to park like that in a disabled parking space

Ordered x2 fish and chips for £5pp on the saver menu and paid. Was told ten minutes later by the manager who came over to my table that they had no fish, only the larger more expensive one that I'd have to pay like £15 for per person. I told him I only went there for the saver menu (otherwise, not being funny, but I'd go somewhere nicer if I'm paying that). My son said he'd have a different meal but I didn't want anything else. I don't understand why they didn't just give me the larger fish as a gesture of goodwill as it was their mistake and they'd already taken my money. I did ask why and he said he wasn't willing to give me the larger fish. I asked what else am I meant to do then as I only came for f&c and that's what I've paid for, and he said he would refund me instead. So rather than just give me the slightly larger fish for their own mistake, he'd sooner refund me and send us on our way without a meal and clearly very unhappy about it. Bizarre. I used to work in restaurants and we would have just given the customer the larger fish if it was our own mistake. It's only a fish, big whoop. Won't be returning after that terrible service and utter waste of time. So protective of the big fish. Weird.

Christmas dinner review. I?m writing this as I was so disappointed with Christmas dinner and want people to know. Never been out for Christmas dinner but tried the Afon with my boyfriend, daughter and godmother. The staff were lovely I can?t fault them but we booked for 2pm and had to queue outside for 10 mins then inside for 10 mins. There was a constant queue outside for 2 hours and I didn?t expect this on Christmas Day when you paid £55 a head. Yes this is ?cheap? for a Christmas dinner but I honestly thought it would be ok and there would be a bit of effort put into the food as it was Christmas. The Turkey was nice but frozen potato?s were not nice, stuffing ball was overdone and there was 4 lots of vegetables just boiled in water. Just a warning to anyone thinking of going. Yes it?s less hassle but really did put a downer on Christmas Day as did not enjoy it.

We were staying next door (unfortunately) and thought we'd pop in here for a few drinks and a bite to eat. The seating in the lounge area was disgusting - scruffy. We'd noticed too late as had already ordered, so drank our drinks and left - no way I'd eat in somewhere with such poor upkeep. Get your seats resurfaced - they're not even worth attempting to clean they are that bad. We did try and move seats but they were all as bad.
I got a single malt and asked for a single ice cube - I got a flake of ice in my glass which melted in about a minute - not what you want as a whiskey drinker, but useful I suppose seeing as we didn't want to hang about.

Me and my friends came here for a meal last night 25/01/25. Firstly there wasn't enough staff on. There was 50 minute wait for us to get our meal. Once our meal came one of my friends meal ever came for another 30 mins later. After going up 4 times and asking where his meal was the staff would go and check then never came back to let us know. We then order pudding I order sticky toffee pudding and it was like rubber you couldnt eat it. Other family within the restaurants were all complaining that there meals were cold. One family who we were talking to came in at 5pm and they were still waiting for there meal gone 7pm.
I will never go there again

When we arrived on Sunday at 2pm for the carvery, the only meat available was the gammon. No Turkey or Beef. Also, the selection of vegetables was poor. No roast potatoes. We hoped for a better dining experience.
Vegetarian options: If you are lucky the meat will have run out.

The food served was indeed wasnt what i ordered and paid for . The garlic bread was nothing close and the cripsy chicken was changed to chicken breast without any notice.I would say i was not impressed for a first timer ,hoping my next visit will be worth it.
