We were really looking forward to visiting this pub, especially given its reputation for being a quirky and unique spot. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but inviting, and we ended up leaving before even ordering food or drinks.
From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was cold and unwelcoming. The woman behind the bar - presumably the owner - was extremely standoffish and visibly miserable. When we enquired about food, we were told it was ?still on,? but she didn?t know if she could serve us. Naturally, we asked why, and were met with a vague response about a recent influx of people and that the wait time would be ?over an hour,? though she couldn?t say for certain.
It was abundantly clear from her tone and body language that we weren?t particularly welcome, though we couldn?t understand why. We?re locals and had heard good things about the place, but the treatment we received made us feel like we were an inconvenience just for walking in.
We appreciate that places get busy and waits can be long - but a bit of politeness and clarity goes a long way. Instead, the vibe was entirely off, and we felt it best not to give our custom there.
If being ?unique? includes being rude to potential customers, especially locals, then it?s not the kind of place we?d recommend. A real shame.

Not a Welcoming Experience
I?m not someone who typically leaves negative reviews, but unfortunately, our visit didn?t live up to the expectations. We stopped in for a drink with family and friends, but were met with a very unwelcoming atmosphere.
The lady behind the bar (who I believe is the owner) seemed uninterested in serving us and made simple requests like asking for ice or a half glass feel like an inconvenience. She was also noticeably rude to the customers before us, who were only inquiring about food.
It?s disappointing, especially after hearing positive things. Based on this experience, we won?t be returning.

Friendly, quirky community owned pub. Didn't order food but would definitely return in future. A rare gem!

Recommended to us by a family member we visited earlier for dinner, we were told it was a quirky place but my word, we weren't ready for what we saw..
The staff are very friendly, menu excellent, food out of this world, portions huge
If you've not been, put it on your list !!

We've been to tafarn sinc a few times before and it is a lovely place to visit, but honestly I can't see myself going back anytime soon when the bar woman was so rude. The woman behind the bar barely looked up while we were waiting to be served and hardly spoke a word to us when we were finally served. Another member of staff was also complaining behind the bar while we were being served about guests being lazy by leaving glasses on tables and him having to go out to collect them. I don't know what sort of pubs these two have worked at before, but the ones I've worked at generally included picking up glasses from tables and having some semblance of customer service as a key part of the job description.

AMAZING FOOD!! Very much worth visiting when in the preseli hills. Our group had 5 vegans and 3 meat eaters and all were very pleased and very full after our dinner. The staff were also enamoured with our feline friend, and treated him like a Prince with treats and attention. 100/5 stars.

Shocking service and attitude by the woman behind the bar (appeared to be the owner). Asked if we could have menus and reply was what for. I explained food and she said no it?s just Sunday dinner. I then went on to ask what meat was being served to which she responded with were fully booked, even though it was quiet. Her mannerism was appalling how she spoke to me and really shouldn?t work in the hospitality sector. A lovely woman behind us told us to try Cafi Sgwar which was family friendly, accommodating and food was delicious. Recommend anyone going there instead!
