This pub is like a step back in time. It's not modern or smart in any way but it is clean and friendly and scores 10/10 for views over the valley to the viaduct and aquaduct. Well worth doing the loop through the town and to the castle. A whole days visit if you do all these.

Eating and drinks place set just off site locals and tourists welcome.
Food great. Good selection of beers. Staff great.

Having read other reviews the Bridge was the place to go for our evening meal.
Great beer and a fabulous view from the beer garden of the viaduct and aqueduct.
Unfortunately the food took ages, and on arrival it was definitely not the standard excepted from other reviews. Mabe they had staffing issues, or a very large group to service, but the food was terrible.
Great for a drink but wouldn't eat here again.

Might be a blip based on other reviews, but you can only tell it as you find it. Good selection of beer, promptly served. 2 x fish and chips ordered and went to sit outside (great spot and view!). Thirty minutes later no sign of food so asked at bar and received blank looks. Said they'd check.... still no food or update 5 mins later so queried again and told they would check. About 5 mins later food finally arrived. Overcooked chips ( even the dog wasn't impressed!) and soggy fish & batter. Appreciate it was busy but not a good experience all round

Stopped for some lunch. Traditional old pub with seating outside overlooking the aqueducts. Nice pub grub and reasonable prices

Lovely meal on Open Mic night (every Tuesday) Craig made us and our dog really welcome. Great food, good atmosphere and no we didn't sing!
good stop off close to the canal with lovely views of the Aquaduct.

Came for a birthday meal, food and service were excellent ,the lovely lady behind the bar was great nothing was too much trouble,also a great selection of beers and ciders,had a very good evening, will be coming back very soon, thank you so much
