If you are in the area, go to this restaurant, food was wonderful, service excellent. We had a great meal and will definitely visit again if we can. Highly recommended.

Visited the Shangri-La Chinese as a couple for a Friday night meal out although I wasn?t wowed by the food I have to say it was plentiful tasty and authentic we decided to start with the lettuce wrap which was tasty and plentiful and very well presented with for lettuce leaves freshly washed and presented very nicely and very tasty we then went for the garlic prawns with celery and the Mandarin fillet beef both of which came piping hot fresh and again very very tasty in all it was a lovely meal and a lovely evening out and the only reason I haven?t given five stars for the Shangri-La as I thought it?s just a little bit of atmosphere but the food is fantastic tasty and authentic and I?ve since been back for a takeaway which I have to say wasn?t quite as nice as the restaurant but was still a welcome addition for tea so to summarise if you?re ever in Chepstow you fancy some Chinese Shangri-La is the place to be

Loved it here. Warm welcome. Fantastic service throughout. They were great with the children that were in the restaurant too. Had Malaysian Goreng which was delicious. The Sauvignon which I had to accompany worked very well with the meal and was delicious top They are very popular which does not surprise me so booking is recommended. I hope to visit restaurant again when next in Chepstow.

Popped in whilst on a one night stay in Chepstow. Friendly staff, and extensive menu. Food was good, and my wife who is Gluten intolerant was well looked after?even the chef came out to check ingredients with her. Great to see, and also confirmed food was freshly cooked. Overall a very good meal, only reason knocked a star off because restaurant was chilly!,Worth a visit if you fancy Chinese food in Chepstow..

I lived in Chepstow years ago and since leaving have never found a Chinese restaurant to match this place. The food is exceptional as is the service and the owner is a passionate and fabulous host. I even went back to give a bigger tip. Hope to see you again in the future?

Food was good- ordered the wanton soup and a few of their signature dishes. Sat outside under the awning in the eve and found that better than the packed inside. Good service too!

Fabulous food and excellent service. A very last minute booking. We had never tried this restaurant before despite living in Chepstow for 4 years. We had a variety of starters and main courses all of which were delicious. We also brought our 4 year old granddaughter and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be coming back soon and wish we had found this restaurant months ago.

We were lucky to be served as it was close to closing time on a Saturday evening. We were told we could only order one course due to this, which was perfectly understandable. The staff were friendly and attentive and the chef came out to describe some of the dishes. The dishes we chose we lovely and of great quality. Would love to go there again

It had such good reviews we thought we'd try it for our anniversary. I have cooked every meal in lockdown and friends encouraged me to have a night off and treat myself. Deluxe hor doeuves grisly bones of pork 2cm long breaded butterfly prawns over cooked and dry. Spring rolls greasy and clammy. Satay chivken OK. Crispy duck not crispy. Cold and tasteless. An utter disappointment. And £32.40 I can't tell you what I could make for that. Appalling.

Called for dinner and booked a table as very busy. Really good atmosphere and many people enjoying dinner. A large selection of dishes available, so we ordered a selection between the four of us. Really tasty food, and good quantities to share. Hard to recommend any select dishes as the ones we had were all delicious.

Went here to celebrate for my Husbands birthday with kids and some friends. We all really enjoyed our food, restaurant was nice, service excellent. Even provided a sparkler and candle for cake even tho we had brought some. Would definitely recommend. Think we will be getting our takeaways from here now too.
