Staff couldn't do enough to help. Rooms and hotel are tired and need updating, but this is reflected in the price and star rating. Great location and with free parking.

Met family in Chepstow and decided to grab lunch. Last minute walked into Beaufort Arms, they seated us immediately, service very friendly and excellent. 1 course £13.95, 2 courses £17.95, 3 - £21.95. 1 course was plenty, excellent food, all hot and tasty and plenty of it. A genuinely, lovely Sunday lunch.Food & drinks: Excellent choice for Sunday lunch.

Enjoyed my stay. Perfectly positioned in Chepstow and friendly and helpful people running the hotel. Remember, it is a 2 star hotel and is wonderful value, so don't expect 5 star. However, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and a lovely bar downstairs. Would stay again.

4 of us had lunch here for a friend's belated-80th birthday today. Liz served us - friendly, helpful, and polite. Typical pub food menu. We all enjoyed our meals. Between us we had: fish n chips, haddock fish cakes & chips, chicken jalfrezi curry, half n half and 1 friend had 2 starters instead of a main: tempura battered prawns and calamari. 2 of us had apple crumble tart with custard which they both enjoyed. Toilets are up the stairs. Chepstow Town location.Food & drinks: Nice pub food!

Good place to stay in Chepstow. Cheaper to book direct, by phone. Convenient location in centre of town. Free car park out the back. Lovely English breakfast and unlimited coffee plus juices and cereals. Quite reasonable value for Chepstow.

Great staff, really make you feel welcome, The hotel bar is a cracking place, busy with locals, as well as guests, and couldn't be nicer.Walkability: Right in the town center

We went to our company Christmas meal here.1- The staff were superb, nothing was too much trouble.2- The Christmas meal was cooked to perfection, a good choice and plenty of it.3- It's a 400 year old Inn with lots of character - uneven floors, no lift - it's part of the charm of the place and it's gradually being refurbished.4- Centrally located with limited parking, there is a Municipal Car Park opposite which is free overnight. We're already looking forward to next years company do.

Very friendly place, quick service with a smile. Very good food.Rooms are clean and tidy, offer all you need. Not as easy to find as Google says, parking at the rear, but limited.Despite the access, highly recommend this hotel for a getaway.Walkability: Not far from the railway station, about 2oo yards

I can't share experiences with the rooms as I've never stayed, but me and my partner go to the Beaufort a lot for dinner (their pizzas) and drinks. The pizzas are very good value for money and taste great and fresh, and the pub itself has a great atmosphere. What really makes it a nice place to go though is the service - the bartenders are all really friendly and helpful and the man that runs it (owner or manager, I'm not sure what he is but he's always there) is brilliant - always welcoming, always helpful, has nice banter with everyone and always walks the floor to make sure everyone's happy. It's great, and you don't get that in some of the other pubs in town. It makes you feel looked after.

This year we decided to look for a local business rather than the large chain we'd used previously. We weren't disappointed. The staff are the key here - friendly, efficient and accommodating. We felt they really looked after us throughout our stay. The meal was superb, a good choice, expertly cooked and plenty of it - Thank you Chef? The hotel is around 400 years old, there isn't a right-angle anywhere, uneven floors, narrow stairs, no lift - all part of the charm of a historic, old building.Located centrally, there is limited parking but opposite you'll find a Municipal Car Park with free overnight parking. On leaving, we booked next years event to guarantee the date we wanted.Thank you to all at the Beaufort Hotel for a lovely Christmas Do ?

This was one of the worst hotels. I ever stayed at. Shower ? the water would not go. The heating was ok. very tiny room. Clean 2 out of 5 stars. The breakfast was bad. But they did make me breakfast. When I woke up late and thank you for that. Rest you can ask Alec.

Went here for a staff Christmas do. The food on the festive menu was great, plenty of it and good quality. Staff were friendly and made sure we were all looked after well. Rooms were clean with everything you?d expect, towels, soaps etc there was also a vast selection of drinks to be had at the bar so you will be spoilt for choice.

Location loses a star for the Google factor - it's not easy to spot as Google says you've arrived.Friendly, food looked nice (but only pizza in the evening, and it's best kept to one per week).Clean, but old, so a lot of stairs and dark, creaky corridors.
