We came on a sunday afternoon, 5.30. Menu was roast only, meat chewy, Yorkshire pudding was like a crisp, limited veg. We weren't aware of another menu was available at 6. A pint cost £6.00. Music was good, but so loud, we couldn't have any conversation. Waiting staff asked if we wanted to order on arrival, we asked for a couple of minutes, they didn't come back, we had to leave the table to order.

Really good vibe, friendly service, and good, modern food. A really good addition to dining options in the town centre, will definitely be back.

Had a brilliant dinner at this new venue!
Steak was cooked perfectly, with lovely cocktail to wash it down.
Would definitely recommend. So nice for Carmarthen to have somewhere nice to dine and drink in the centre.

We had a great time at the Welsh House on Friday night. My fiancé had a great pint of Guinness. We shared the starter sharing board, it was very delicious! Then we both had steaks for mains which were amazing. We will definitely be going back. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely.

The food was good without being great. Cockle popcorn was nice, the cheddar Welsh cakes were doughy and undercooked. Sunday Roast was of a good standard - meat was good as were the yorkshires and gravy but found the veg a bit uninspiring. Service was very good and efficient. Would also note that the live ?background music? was far too loud and obtrusive for a Sunday afternoon. Literally had to stop chatting because we couldn?t hear each other speak.

Beautiful place. Lovely atmosphere. The Sunday lunch was nice, but the veg had no salt, I suppose it's individual taste. Our waitress Dee was brilliant! Polite, helpful, funny and joined in a bit of banter with us. We'll be visiting again very soon and have booked our Christmas meal with a group of friends. Well done The Welsh House ???

Lovely atmosphere and decor but music could have been slightly quieter. staff were extremely friendly and helpful. few teething problems with food and waiting times but staff handled it very well and this is to be expected on opening week! Will definitely be returning for more yummy food

I visited on a Sunday evening after experiencing the establishments in Neath and Swansea, and I can confidently say it did not disappoint. The venue was bustling with a fantastic atmosphere, enhanced by a live singer Joe Collins, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. Ann and Dee went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, especially considering my broken ankle.
The food was superb, with an impressive selection highlighting local suppliers and Welsh delicacies. The pork starter with pickle was simply delightful. The filet steak and chips were outstanding, but the cheesecake truly was out of this world. A wonderful dining experience! Will revisit, looking forward to the roof terrace opening in 2025!
