Could be more disabled friendly, stairs quite steep and needs more hand rails. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again.Rooms: Rooms very clean, small and over priced.Walkability: Good place for accessing towns amenities.Food & drinks: Food very good.

Came here for a families birthday meal on a sunday.. couldn't have been more disappointed. Booked weeks in advance, letting them know we wanted multiple vegetarian orders for the booking only to arrive and them to offer a bowl of pasta.. when we refused this and asked if we could just have a Sunday dinner with only the veg, the waiter kept lifting his eyebrows like it was the end of the world. When the dinners came, we probably had about 13 peas to share between 8 of us and 1 roast potato that was harder than mike tyson. When it came to dessert, we ordered the crumble, and i kid you not, it was like a spoon full of morrinsons granola. When we asked for the bill, it was over £200.. plus we had to stop in subway on the way home to fill the gap. Never again

We booked one stay here, was able to park at the back of the hotel. Upon entering the hotel, reception area looked nice and welcoming. We also had dinner in the evening. Staff were welcoming and friendly. The hotel has some parts quite dated, and most parts refurbished. Our room was q good size, very clean, although we found 2 used towels hanging at the back of the door. The double bed was comfortable and sheets felt crisp, which was lovely. Breakfast had to be ordered the night before. We had 2 pieces of bacon, one sauce, 2 fried eggs and tomatoes, but no baked beans or mushrooms. Check out was efficient. We recommend this hotel.

I had booked this hotel as part of a wedding group with 11 others also booking. Reception area and restaurant looks pretty but thats where it ends. I booked a Superior Double Large Room for £130 which is expensive for the tiny room we were given, there was dust over the lampshades and over the mirrors, the TV only had BBC and no other channels. When we went down for Breakfast on the following morning, we were hoping to eat our breakfast alongside the other people from the Bridal party but was immediately moved into a different room and made to sit on our own without no explanation, the woman was rude and abbrubt and told us she was waiting for our order even though our order was put in with the bridal party The breakfast was advertised as a full English but was missing different items and was not worth the money we had paid, there was 1 sausage a couple of slices of bacon and an egg with some toast on the side So many changes need to be made and more focus on hospitality from certain members of staff would be ideal. Very disappointed and will not be returning.

On arrival we were greeted by a very nice lady who showed us where the parking area was and allowed us to bring our bags in through the rear door rather than have to walk around. Our room wasn't quite ready (we were early) so we had a drink while we waited for a few minutes in the lovely lounge/bar area. Our room was a little small but had everything you could need and a lovely modern bathroom. We did notice that the floor was slightly sloping but this just added to the fun ! I did find the bed uncomfortable and the quilt far to thick but if it had been winter it would be great. The hotel is on a main road so did get noisy in the night with the drunks walking by on the Saturday but it was quiet on the Sunday night. Breakfast was chosen on arrival but if you changed your mind you just had to let reception know. My husband went for the full breakfast while I has the smoked haddock and poached egg, both were delicious. There was also cereal, juice, toast abd tea or coffee included. We enjoyed our time at the Falcon and would happily stay again.

Booked a table for lunch with my mother. Menu was 2 course. We had mains and dessert. The food was outstanding. Would recommend the pork dinner and the hake fillet with watercress sauce. Rhubarb and apple crumble for dessert was also superb! Staff were very efficient, polite and professional. If you are looking for somewhere for a nice meal I would highly recommend visiting the Falcon Hotel.
