I am a retail manager and I would not employ any member of staff I talked to when I visited Carmarthen Curry?s. I made 2 visits first was the worst as all staff were on lunch and after 30 mins I left and bought my telly online and my 2nd visit a small blonde sales manager preferred to check her staff were not stealing anything at the end of their shift rather than process my purchase. Shocking ?

The staff, the layout, the atmosphere, and help is lovely. Always enjoy going there. Face to face always better test than impersonal internet.

Went into store for a collection for someone else. It wasn't clear where to go. I approached the 'tech desk' two members of staff were talking (work related) they knew I was there but didn't even look up or acknowledge my existence. After a few minutes I had to excuse myself and ask if I was in the right place.. one staff member did reply yes but then continued their conversation for some considerable time. So rude!Acknowledge your customers. Extremely poor customer service.

Waited patiently to buy a new iphone and no one turned up for 10 minutes, was told by the chatting workers on the desk that he would call someone as he wasn?t trained on that section which was fair enough ?.but not after another 10 minute wait and no one turning up. Disappointing customer service and all around management. Wouldn?t go to this branch again?best off staying well clear!

Went in to the store to buy a new TV. The salesman was really good, very knowledgable and friendly. However after spending around £1600, my wife asked if asked if there was a customer toilet. The salesman said there wasn't, but that he would ask his manager if we could use the staff toilet facilities.I told him it was for my mother in law who was shopping with us.My mother in law is 87 has dementia and chronic kidney disease.Apparently the manger said no, we couldn't use the facilities.I cant believe how unbelievably unkind this was.If we hadn't already paid for the TV, I would have told them we didn't want it.I wont be returning.

I took my Apple Mac Air 1 into the store which I had purchased the day before because there were some issues with it. There were hardly any staff in the shop compared to customers, also there were no staff on shift who were trained on Apple products, this didn?t help me as I needed the laptop for work. There was also no staff on the repair and support desk. Helen, who was the manager sent the warehouse boy, Elliot to try and assist, but due to lack of staff and Helen who was just stood in the middle of the store doing nothing, he was struggling to know what to do with my laptop, he even tried to ring other stores to help, but no answer, so ended up phoning Apple himself for their help. In the meantime, the customers were building up behind me and Helen was still doing nothing and just ordering what staff were there to try and help, even though the other staff were already with customers. A lady that was in the queue with me had paid for Mcafee to be installed in her laptop that she uses for work and it hadn?t worked, so unconvinced Elliot could help her as he normally works in the warehouse and due to the time waiting, she went to Helen the manager to complain at which point another member of Staff, Vicky walked behind the customer and started to laugh at Helen, which I thought was disgusting! When the customer then left the shop as we had all been in the shop for over an hour. Helen continued to talk about this customer quite rudely to another member of staff in the middle of the store. If Curry?s Head Office reads this, I would suggest a couple of changes, give Helen some customer service training and a kick up the backside or even a verbal warning as I found her behaviour very inappropriate and unprofessional. Also a store that is so short staffed, surely the manager should ?muck in? too, so train Helen how to be a team player. I would also give Elliot some form or recognition or reward as he did everything he possibly could, regardless of all the unhappy customers he had surrounding him at the repair and support desk.

Took ages to get acknowledged and then tried to sell me something that I didn't need at three times the price of the item I wanted. Bought elsewhere

We bought a JVC TV a week or so ago from this shop. We've bought many items from here and never had an issue. The picture when using the aerial is awful and fuzzy. This is down to the TV because I tested our Samsung on the same connection and it was fine. I took it back to the shop, where a gentleman tested the TV. It 'passed' all the tests, however the picture remained fuzzy and unclear when using their aerial connection - he said it was down to 'signal quality'. I said I wasn't happy with that and would like to change it. He then went to speak to the manager who despite standing around doing absolutely nothing (something I've noticed often), didn't come and speak to me personally. He said the manager can't do anything as the TV 'passed all the tests'. Terrible and very disappointing. I won't be spending any more money with that shop.

Helpful, didn't mind my endless questions, I think some Currys in England could learn from the staff here. And because of the service we bought not just a washing machine we went to look at, but also another item. And was not tempted to just use their knowledge and buy from internet . So well done young lady and her manager

Bought a Sony Bravia OLED TV online (worth a lot of money). Just went in store to collect it. One of the salesmen got the TV from the warehouse. Without me even asking him, he then proceeded to tell me about all the bad things about the TV I had bought, how he wouldn't have chosen that one and that the sound was bad, and it doesn't fit a sound bar (all reviews online had been excellent).I didn't even ask for his opinion. Can't believe I bought a very expensive product from this company just to be told it wasnt any good when I collected it.My wife and I left feeling disappointed. Won't be using Currys ever again and complaint made to head office.

Curry's instore staff are as usual and helpful, yet its the after service where things fall apart, curry's has laid off all UK staff in it's call centres and hired a south African outsourced centre, it's awful beyond belief, there's just no service, they lie their incompetent unprofessional just dreadful this will be the downfall of curry's, even chatting with the staff they're also having to deal with it and most of them I've spoken to recommend shopping elsewhere. The Ceo went for cut backs and it's effecting the service to the point I'd recommend shopping elsewhere, do not buy the aftercare service as that's what they run it's just awful, after buying a tv and having to contact them over and over again as they were lying giving false promises and information, it took well over 6 hour's on the ohiyamf chat to sort out a just a pick up amd replacement. You'll get stressed out and just fobbed off, I had one lady with the TV on in the background so loud I couldn't hear her, she was laughing away at this program while I'm trying to explain my issue again for the 70th time I had to contact hem, in total 85 times, read the curry's Facebook page there's 100s of people who are the same issue. So unless your buying instore and don't care about after sales service then go ahead but if you do go else where, John Lewis and Ao. Com all have the same thing at mostly cheaper prices and a after care service that works. This isn't anything to do with the shop staff they are all great as usual, it's just when things go wrong you'll wish you went somewhere else.
