Bought six notebooks. Very nice! Thought it was a toys r us. Very expensive calculators for £30 and worker did not appreciate our concern for pricing. Very nostalgic, never actually been to toys r us.

At the self service till, I wanted to change the language to Welsh. 3 or 4 other languages were offered, but not Welsh.I find it shameful that the Welsh language option was unavailable in the store on the main street of the capital city of Wales. Shame on w h Smith.

Rude member of staff named Ioana. I was at self service and required assistance from a staff member after five minutes she arrived and was condescending informing me that I need to wait for the machine (which was obvious) huffing at any question I had and looking overall looking displeased with the work. If you can?t work in service then dont.

I googled first, to check store, dog friendly, so l could bring my elderly, miniature Jack Russel with me, to return a parcel to the post office(on checking saying WHSmith dog friendly) However member of staff at post office counter, quite impatient and abrupt (tutting and sighing) told me dogs were not allowed.I felt quite uncomfortable and left straight away.On my way out, l asked another member of staff, is it dog friendly here, she said yes, very confusing! Not a good experience, yesterday.I normally go to the post office on Albany road, it?s dog friendly there and the staff are always lovely.
