“Whoever suggested opening an Oxfam shop just for books deserves a medal. This is my favourite bookshop ever. I don't even look for books anywhere else now. I have very often spent my bus fare in this shop while waiting for the bus I was meant to get to uni. The thing I love about this store is that even though the books have all been pre-owned, they are great condition, and the covers aren't ruined by the price stickers that most charity shops use. And everything's arranged so clearly (and properly!), classics have their own section, and there's a nice little shelf of really old, rare and first edition books that always excites me. An absolute must for students and booklovers, and also for parents as the children's section is great. I feel I should also point out how conveniently close it is to the train station. Clearly an excellent place to grab a book for your journey.”

“Stores are open but not accepting donations. Only 4 people at any on point, hand sanitiser provided at the door. The variety of clothes has gone down since the rebranding but the price remains one of the lowest of most charity shops. Great value for money.”

“One of the largest charity shops in town thanks to its expansive corner layout on the corner of Cowbridge Road East and Clive Road in Canton. If you're on the hunt for that special item of clothing, you're better off going to smaller haunts down the road, as this Salvation Army's main draw is house wares and accessories. The shoe selection here is superior to its clothing offering, with each pair nearly as tidy as you'd expect in a high street store. I normally stop by if I've got a hankering for a one-of-a-kind accessory for my wardrobe, home, or listening pleasure - think hats and framed pictures, as well as other essentials like books and CDs (and cassettes if you're interested). You can even score a small piece of furniture if you're fortunate. It's a pleasure to browse this shop, as the ladies manning the till are cheerful and always up for a bit of friendly conversation.”

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Marie Curie Charity Shop in Whitchurch, and I must say that I was very impressed with the quality of service and products offered by this store. The shop is well-organized and clean, with a wide variety of items available for purchase, including clothing, books, and home goods. What sets this store apart, however, is its dedication to a noble cause - supporting the Marie Curie charity, which provides end-of-life care and support for people with terminal illnesses and their families. It is clear that the staff and volunteers are passionate about this cause, and their enthusiasm is infectious. In addition to offering high-quality items at affordable prices, the store also has a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. The staff and volunteers are knowledgeable and helpful, and they are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that customers are satisfied with their purchases.Overall, I highly recommend the Marie Curie Charity Shop in Whitchurch to anyone in the area who is looking for a great shopping experience and wants to support a worthy cause. The combination of high-quality products and a meaningful mission makes this store a true gem in the community.”

“this was my first time here though I'd been past on the bus.absolutely fantastic charity shop!I was charity shopping for furniture today with a friend as I've moved recently into an unfurnished place and this one was my friend's recommendation.great selection of high quality furniture, really reasonable prices (even better with christmas sales!), and they invite you to bargain/haggle and offer things for lower prices than on the tags too which is notable compared to other charity shops I've been to, and great!got a bunch of great furniture for my flat, at some absolutely fantastic prices. not all would fit in the car in one go so we'll be returning in a few days but the volunteers/staff there were happy to set the other things aside for me as I'd already paid.all round a fantastic option for 2nd hand furniture.I'll definitely be back to look at books, clothes and bric-a-brac.my friend got a fantastic coat for £1.a bit out of the way but well worth the trip.”

“Best selection of 12-inch albums in any charity shop in town! Luckily I didn't have too much cash on me, or it definitely would've been spent on Queen's "Night at the Opera". Offering your usual range of clothing and knick knacks, each charity shop invariably has their own charms, but I've gotta say this one is my new favourite, thanks to few bins full of albums on the back wall, with more popular titles priced at only £2.50 (I guess it's all subject to taste, but Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" and Fleetwood Mac "Rumours" for less than a fiver? Bliss). If you're searching for a wide range of VHS, your best bet would be to stop by here first, as this Cancer Research UK stocks more videos than I've seen in years (and some major titles, too).”

“My god! I was just telling people on Twitter about Sues shop. Truly a special find. Ask her to go to the special room upstairs. That’s where the gold is!!! I’ve found some of the most amazing and bizarre clothes and accessories in there. It’s truly charity shop which is much more like a shop willed with fantastic curio rather than a charity shop. Truly a hidden gem.”

“Lots of used electronic products available to buy which some are very cheap but some are expensive with no reason. So you have to be clear with your decision when buying anything. If you are looking for some cheap used electronics without any guarantee then this is the best place. They also sell quality branded products. Lots of collection inside”

“Quite pricey and the stock doesn't shift often - still seeing the same pieces week after week. But the staff are very nice and they often have good dance music vinyl in!”

“Now is the best time to buy and invest in cryptocurrency. Trading with a trusted account manager is what can make your dreams come through, Mr George Robert has the best trading strategies to win. I thought of that when I saw a post recommending him in a page here on Facebook, until I gave him a try and the outcome was great for me. Making over 3.488978 Bitcoins (BTC) which is equivalent to $98,950 out of $2000 first trade was a whole lot of profit for me. “Today I had FIVE tops (two of which were boutique ones, and one brand new with the tag from new look) and a necklace brand new with the tag, all for £29 and free gifts as the shop run special offers every hour.... For that price I'd probably get about one top in a regular shop!! I love charity shopping as it supports a good cause whilst buying. All the items in the shop are clean and displayed like a regular clothing shop so it's easy and straightforward to look around ❤️??”

“Marie Curie definitely does not feel like a traditional charity shop with it's good quality stock and it's friendly staff. Despite not having that charity shop smell, it has labels like per una in good condition and knock down prices. There is also usually a book promotion on which is great for books worms. Children's clothes are ridiculously cheap. On top of this the shop is always clean and tidy and the management are always happy to help.”

“The staff are always so friendly to every customer that comes in. There is a true community feel about the place, the staff know each regular customer by name. The shop itself is always tidy and the clothes arranged by colour and have clear sizes, making it easy to find what you want.”
