We had a return after being instructed by Customer service call centres.
To return the item like for like or a refund.
The lady at the call centre emwas exceptional and explained.
The items such as we had can not be physically checked from the manufacturer .
One of the stores manager assistant Alex we found very abrasive with our issue.
At the Pengam Green store Cardiff
Even stating the item would not of been sold with the fault.
Totally refuted Customer service opinion and common sense regarding the item in question.
We remained polite and courteous towards this person.
Whom eventually agreed to exchange or refund.
We thanked her and left the store.
The way she treated us and the stance she took was totally uncalled for under the circumstance.
Maybe she should have training regarding dealing with Customers .
As ourselves under instructions from Tesco to return the item as mentioned.
The other Manager stood near and watched the exchange between Alex and ourselves.
With Alex walking over to him having a chat.
When their is a issue they need to be more empathetic towards Customers.
Not treating one as she did we are not all bad people and our custom keeps her employed.

I?ve been a long-standing Tesco customer and always receive excellent service at Tesco Extra Western Avenue. However, my recent visit to Pengum Tesco was very disappointing.I wanted to refund one item and exchange a cosmetic product. The first staff member kindly processed the refund and asked me to go pick another cosmetic product. When I returned, she had gone on her break and referred me to another staff member at the customer service desk.
This second staff member refused to process the exchange, even though the product was unused and met Tesco?s return policy. I also asked for a return receipt for the refunded item, but she said she couldn?t provide it since she hadn?t handled that transaction.
I was left without a resolution and felt ignored. Based on this experience, I won?t be visiting Pengum Tesco again. Tesco should improve customer service at this branch.

After many sleepless nights with my infant. I got ready to go out and braved the supermarket with her and my eldest child. Whilst doing my shop unsuspectingly in a zombiefied manner. I was silly enough to select a flask and put it into my basket and purchase it. Given that this is a well known store selling brand new items with labels on them. I didn?t inspect the item prior to taking it home.
Upon getting home, I?ve gone to clean the flask out ready for my Pen Y Fan climb the next day and the handle came off in my hand. Upon closer inspection, the components of this bottle were snapped in two places. I can only guess that when I saw and liked the bottle on the shelf, these broken parts must have been facing away from me. As I?m so tired lately, I knew that it was going to be a little bit inconvenient having to make a trip to the store which is 2.5 miles away from my home but I sucked it up and simply retained the receipt and label ready to return it. (You?d expect this to be an easy task, this was not the case)
Sadly I have returned to the store today. At a minimum expecting to receive at least a half hearted apology and a simple refund. I approached the customer service desk and the young chap, being a little unsure of his capabilities and how to address this, called the store duty manager. He came along and was really rude. He told me that he needed to speak to another colleague because he thought that I?d dropped the item in order to receive a refund. I was absolutely astonished at this idea, he has said it loudly with a queue of strangers and with my children as an audience. (Just to clarify, this was a miserly £12 flask and that if I?d wanted a refund, surely I?d have just brought it back in its original condition had it have been brought in a saleable condition in the first place.)
The duty manager (Stewart) spoke to another colleague and came back and told me that I would be allowed an exchange only. I could see that he was grudgingly doing this too but was ok with this result in theory however No recognition of the fact that having to come back to the store after being sold faulty items was an inconvenience, no apology for accusing me of breaking the flask on purpose. By this point, the transaction has taken me and my children 2.5 miles away from my home each way, embarrassed and undermined me in front of my children and various strangers and left me feeling awful. He proceeded to sarcastically call me names such as lovely whilst he was speaking and made me feel like rubbish.
I got back to the car and was in tears. Absolutely mortified at the ordeal that should have been very simple. I will not be returning to the store again and just feel that I?ve lost faith in human decency. The Duty Manager Stewart needs a hell of a lot of training and definitely needs to brush on his people skills. I have never ever been treated this way in front of my Family. I have contacted head office and customer services to make a complaint. After being treated in this way I highly doubt that this is the first complaint about this person.

Purchased a meal deal for me my wife and child and wanted to order a coffee in the cafe and just eat in peace. Advised by staff I was not allowed to eat the food I purchased from Tesco in the Tesco cafe. The cafe sells no healthy food so a wrap and meal deal was my only option. If the cafe was full I could understand but there was one person in the whole cafe eating. When you have a child it's nice to eat at a table, advised also you can not take Greg's food into the cafe. Why have a Greg's shop in your store right next to the cafe if you can't sit and eat the food. Corporate nonsense.

The store is well organised and maintained. It has a good feeling about it. One problem I experienced there was in the yogurt section. As soon as I held one it squeezed out all over my clothes. I noticed then that some were already open!

A big Tesco with plenty on offer. The layout is a little different but once your past that it's great for everyday shopping and for looking for something extra!

They used to have a varied Vegan meal deal selection, now it's down to one wrap.
Very poor imho.
Also way too many people double park directly outside the store. This wouldn't happen in other areas, yet the staff do nothing.
