Went into Tesco Express CF11 9AN today.
They?ve got the Easter veg deal on?35p each for a selection of vegetables, which is great.
However, I noticed a misleading setup with the potatoes. Someone in-store had placed multiple 2kg bags of potatoes in two separate locations, directly above signage showing the 35p price. The problem? That 35p price is only for the 1.25kg bags, not the 2kg ones?which cost more and will scan at the higher price at checkout.
I raised this with a staff member, pointing out that an unsuspecting customer?especially an elderly person or someone not paying close attention?might be misled and end up overpaying, thinking they were getting the deal.
This kind of ?mistake? has happened too many times for it to be brushed off as a simple shelf-filler error. Whether it?s negligence or intentional, the responsibility lies with the store manager. Either they?re not checking what's happening in their store, or worse, they're instructing staff to position items in a way that misleads customers.
Shame on the management of this store for allowing this. Customers deserve transparency, not tricks!

Reasonable range of products but dearer prices than the larger Tesco stores.Mainly self serve tills with one staffed till occasionally open otherwise cash payments only taken at Customer Services counter.Quite often there are more of the self serve tills not in use than there are open ones which does cause delays in paying.The store is ok for essential shopping but not a main weekly shop.

Staff on cigarette counter always talking to other staff and not interested with customers. Always use cigarette counter because I refuse to use self service.

Still showing as an Evri parcel shop but went to take a parcel with a printed label on as their Evri label printer seems to always be broken? or damaged and now they?ve said they don?t accept the parcels anymore. So I made my way out in the pouring down rain, soaked through head to toe like a drenched rat to be told ?no we haven?t done for a while we?re still on the website but you need to look elsewhere?
But on a positive note I Always go here. Great value of prices and options of food. Sometimes hit and miss with stock levels however.

Very handy Tesco in the heart of Cardiff bay, no street alcohol ban so get your booze here for a drink by the water, also great for snacks to sneak into the theatre or cinema.

Avoid this place if in a rush for all those paying in cash, buying vapes or tobacco or need an ID check when buying alcohol. If you don't have a card for the no cash self service, be prepared to wait around. I'm tired of popping in to this Tesco to find one person serving at the Customer Service and a queue ten deep. Customer Service indeed...

The customer service I witnessed today was shocking . No staff on tills so had to pay at the cigarette counter .An older lady behind the cigarette counter was very rude to me because I asked to pay for my items with a winning scratch card . She said to me I can't take that I've already scanned your items you'll have to pay cash or I can't serve you . I honestly don't know why she would speak to paying customers this way , even the other members of staff were looking at the floor while this was going on right next to them . Disgusting way to treat customers for no real reason .

This store used to be great, well stocked with wonderful service. It has recently become an express and they only stock a limited range of more expensive goods. More of an issue is the chronic under staffing. The poor colleagues are expected to work under unbelievable pressure, they've scrapped all cash tills - inanarea where most customers don't have the luxury of paying by card - but don't have enough staff to serve them on the customer service till. It's a joke. People are going elsewhere. I don't see this store staying open for much longer.

The last six months or so Tesco has really gone downhill, they never have staff. If you want to pay for your goods with cash you can forget it . All self serving tills are card , so if you?re unfortunate enough to have to pay with cash you have to queue at the cigarette counter and there is usually one member of staff. If it?s now an express instead of a metro why don?t it stay open longer like all the other express shops do ? We pay enough for the privilege ( it?s very expensive) .
