Echoing previous recent reviews, this branch has implemented a touch-screen order system which has made the ordering process far slower. Furthermore, the systems kept crashing and referred us to the staff behind the counter who just told us to use another one. We had spent nearly 10 mins just trying to place our order, so gave up and went elsewhere.

Bad experience at the Rumney subway, been using this shop for years, went in the shop today and they have a new epos self serve tablets to make your orders on, well i tried 3-4 times, it froze on me, wouldn?t let me pay, I voiced concerns to staff who were trying to help but had to follow protocol and said there was no other way to take my order other that these slow technology built tablets not fit for purpose, I?m sorry but when you want food, it?s nice to have the subway personal experience and telling the staff how you want your sub and then pay, changing a system that has worked for years, what a shame ? other customers in the shop where having same issues, and in the end I couldn?t wait no longer I gave up and went to Greggs

I love Subway, favourite fast food place around. But recently, for some stupid reason, this restaurant has decided to implement computer screens for ordering. This has made ordering and receiving food 10x slower and more inefficient. Whereas before I would be in and out with my food in 5 minutes, I was waiting nearly twenty minutes for my sub. Get rid of these screens.

Worst subway I?ve ever been too.
Never have enough of the bread, the staff are rude and don?t know how to make sandwiches, they don?t wrap it up properly and leave sandwiches half empty. The manager rudely did stock take in front of us, moaning about doing it and make the atmosphere awful. I asked to scan my card and got sighed at. They have missed the buck with this subway, don?t recommend go to any other shop bar from that one, waste of money

I am Regular Here my husband basically comes everyday today there was little to no meat in the sub after filling it the lady was seen scooping it back out will not be coming here no more pentwyn branch are so much nicer and they stack the subs

We had ordered 2 tuna , and a chicken tikka salads when they arrived, half the items were missing on the salads, and not much of it absolutely disgusting, I drove to the store to show them what we had , the staff were rude when I approached them , and told us they had a busy day so they ran out of stuff, will never order from that store again customer service at its worst!!! Asked to speak to a manager and was told that the manager doesn?t like to be contacted

Extremely rude staff. They took a particular liking for me for some reasons. It has happened twice.I didn?t want to reply in similar way to the two ladies serving in-front if my children.Food was good though

I visited the store on Saturday 29th July 2023 at around 130pm.The staff were not very friendly or helpful, especially the lady on the till who I found to be rude and extremely u helpful. 2 young girls had just eaten their subway and wanted a dessert which they wanted to split the cost = NO was the response one of you pay then the other person give you the money.My sons wanted a sandwich so I opted for the kids size..... I'd asked about the meals but the person at the till asked whether I was having the mealThe options were extremely limited = tuna or grilled chicken OR we could have fed them different kinds of HAM which I would go to hell for as my sons are Muslim and I would knowingly be feeding them something that is AGAINST their religion but hey ho as a diverse community and country let's not think about that. The staff had no clue and could not find a healthy solution.We went with a chicken and a tuna sandwich = my 7yr old asked why Subway does not like Muslims and love Pork.Dietary restrictions: They DO NOT cater for Muslims/Jews or anyone that does not eat Pork within the children section

Update August 2022Amended to 2 stars after UberEats delivery.Placed order. Was out of stock of 1 item but notified on app after order placed. Tried to order replacement. App crashed. Tried to call branch to rectify. I rang for 40 minutes. No one answered phone. Messaged uber driver, he read message and ignored. Food arrived. Driver was not interested. Refused to give us the order until we gave him pin number.Food was crushed, missing sides and not great. One meal short as well. Will not order again. Disappointed after the price we paid.Original review in branch:Yum. Excellent price. Excellent service. Fresh and delicious. Very lovely staff with good banter.
