Very satisfying experience where I was made to feel valued and respected. All sections of the business were text book in their approach to customer service from the welcome at the front door, to the reception in the testing area, to the eye examination and finally a very informative session with the optometrist who absolutely knew her stuff and could explain it in layman's language. I have no hesitation in recommending the Queen Street Cardiff branch of Specsavers.

Seeing Eye to Eye with Specsavers Once AgainWhen I need to get my eyes tested it's Specsavers I choose to go to, not only because of their friendly, attentive service, but because of their state of the art, topnotch equipment. And, a great big AND, because Justine is there.She's the absolutely fabulous ophthalmologist who sees to it that my new lenses give me perfect vision every time. Compassionate, has tremendous expertise,and goes that extra mile for perfection.Thank you JustineFrom previous times at Specsavers below.After many Adventures and some Mis-Adventures. But I do say - Here's to you Mrs Robinson!I actually take this opportunity to once again THANK the Store Manager in Cardiff, Queen Street Branch who has more than helped me out over the years, and now once again just before Christmas. Her vigilance in always being able to tackle an eye problem or be it a frame issue, is quite legendary. With a delightfully warm personality and a head on her that 'screams' "I'll work it out", you just know you are in skillful hands with her thorough and more than competent demeanor. This extremely pleasant and unflappable person called Lisa Robinson, is a 'Ring Master' when it comes to gathering up the Specsaver Troops, having them bend over backwards to support and help out where necessary.I can't say all of my experiences at Specsavers have been without the occasional pot-hole, but thanks to Mrs Robinson, with her adroit efficiency, and 'fix-it,' no nonsense mind-set in handling my various issues, along with her engagingly warm personality, I am certain she is more than capable of tackling any stubborn obstacle that crosses her desk. Perhaps she encompasses that 'old school' teaching of share 'dogged ingenuity' which is pleasant to still come across within the halls of Corporate Cyborg salesmanship.So, I raise my glass in praise and thanks to her and say; "Thank the heavens that you and your kind are not lost. Here's to you Mrs Robinson."Having to venture into a Specsavers store recently for a spectacle upgrade I was reminded of my introduction to varifocal glasses after reading an article which highlighted Britain's first female, self-made Billionaire. She's 'nothing but a Dame,' Mary Perkins and has over 900 Specsaver stores across Britain under her tightly pulled black belt.When you are a varifocal user - where you have both distance, reading and now computer level melded into one lens, life becomes much easier. Varifocals are actually quite seamless and good looking. However, the 'seamless beauty' is all in the grade that you choose and let's face it, no-one and I do mean NO-ONE is going to choose substandard eyesight over the pure, clear vision of 20/20, so deciding on the highest grade option is a no brainer. So, not necessarily cheap, cheap.There may be a bit of a 'queue' ahead of you, but hey, we're British, some things never change. And without that great, euphoric feeling of being part of a 'pack' we'd probably think something was afoot anyway, right?One is treated to what is deemed 'the worst out there' with blurry, fudgy sides, and then miraculously seduced by the best where we pant orgasmically all the way to the till. Incredible marketing strategy and THEY didn't have to say a word, your eyes did the sale for them. You were destined for overdrive the moment you walked through that front door and whatever eye store you choose to use, because let's face it, they all do the same, it's just a matter of the 'in-house' charisma, and this store has it down to a fine art. It's called marketing and then maneuvering. However, from the high, professional standard of their equipment, to their highly skilled ophthalmologists, to their sales team geared to bring you a pair of frames that suit your dial, you'll be dancing in the isle too.

Fantastic experience from start to finish, had a very comprehensive eye exam and feel safe in the knowledge that any changes in my eye condition will be picked up immediately. Staff were very friendly, polite and courteous. would recommend using Specsavers to all my friends.

Went in for an emergency eye appointments after stupidly not wearing goggle when trying to drill out a bolt on my car.Same day appointment, really easy and made me feel at ease.10/10 would recommend for you eye scraping needs.

Excellent service end to end. Amir went above and beyond to try and find us the earliest available appointment even looked at other Specsavers stores located near my home address. Chris the optician provided great care and resolved the issue my mother had, updating also her lens prescription. Natasha helped us choose a great pair of frames and at the best possible price offer - especially given that the frames were of designer brand).

I went to Specsavers in Cardiff a couple of weeks ago to get my prescription to buy some glasses that I found online as my old glasses got scratch over time. The staff was SUPERB, they were super friendly and supportive. The environment was also incredible, the building feels like a university campus to be honest, it is such a great environment, clean, nice, with music, I had not idea of what that shop looked like inside and felt, I had passed by so many times but this time I actually went into and got pleasantly suprised by the whole experience. I actually found some glasses that I loved but I had already ordered the other ones online. I will definitely go there next time without even thinking of other options. And by the way, my prescription changed slightly but they nailed it! My new glasses feel SO GOOD!! I'm SO HAPPY that I went to Specsavers first!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I DEFFINITELY RECOMEND THIS SHOP TO EVERYONE!! For years I had gone to Boots, and it was great but I actually felt SO SPECIAL in Specsavers... ! Who was going to know that going to Specsavers, a glasses shop someone was going to feel so special, as when you go to a hair salon, lol! THANKS!!

Always a pleasant experience when going for an eye test and getting new frames. The staff are always friendly as well as professional. They ensure that the whole time, I am the focus of the process and make sure I am relaxed and know what is happening, whilst I have the test and get new frames.
