“I recently needed to send a relatively expensive piece of art I'd sold on eBay to a buyer at the other end of the country. Jackie and her colleagues at the Salisbury Road branch of Mail Boxes etc packaged, wrapped and insured it all for me at a very reasonable rate. When the fragile parcel arrived, the buyer complemented the care and attenion taken in wrapping and sending it. I'll definitely be using these guys again if/when I have a similar requirement. :-)”

“I love this little post office, you always get a great reception from all the knowledgeable, helpful staff.Today i had the most amazing service as i went in to inquire if my passport had arrived yet as i had no confirmation from the deliverers. I was desperate as i had a flight that day. “Xmas 2021 I was busy and got to the P.O here late, they was shut, the shop was open but the P.O shut. I had four parcels 3 of them large and many Xmas cards. The Man there said don't worry let me help you, he was a little unsure how it all worked and the correct labels were nowhere to be found, however he did not give up and kept helping me all the whilst smiling and cheery. It took ages but he did it, all my parcels and cards were weighed, labeled correctly and sent, all of them got to their destination without a hitch.Thank you to that kind man, I mean they were shut when I got there! I didn't get his name but there were two men working there around December 1st or 2nd week and he was the older of the two.Great great service..He deserves a thank you from his Management for being a brilliant employee who obviously really cared enough to help me.”

“Lovely post office which is starting to stock organic food which is brilliant as it serves the local clientele! Reasonably priced food including a fridge, freezer and sweets area! Hot drinks made by a modern machine, outdoor sitting area. Post office station to send parcels at cheap prices over the reliable “Royal Mail” network. Near to the “Three Horseshoes” pub. Also note lots of signs claiming “cheaper than Tesco”!”

“Been shopping for the past decade its the only shop that opens at 6 am. Gotta respect that. Not big, but if you havent done shopping, been on heavy nightbout saturday, you go there sunday morning can get something till next door cop op opens. Top notch.”

“Oh, I truly adore this post office. It's like walking back into a time when finding countries in wardrobes was possible. Although this is a small example of the local post office, it's particularly friendly and quaint. This is a classic little post office that sell precisely everything that you want it to. By no means as busy as the post office in the centre of town, this is a great one to pop into if you want to avoid the queues and spend your afternoon doing something productive instead. There is something British and charming about any post office, I think. In this age we live in swiftly moving towards a paperless society, then maybe one day these premises will, all around the country, become obsolete. Perhaps they'll just be empty brick shells that sell stamps to collectors and pencil sharpeners (although only artists would buy them). Balls of fluff will gather in the corners. But no! We cannot let this happen, we must support our local establishments. Without the postal system, how would housewives have affairs? How would charities give you free pens? We would all have boarded up little slots in our front doors. Support! Support! Support!!”

“I’ve used Gabalfa Post Office a fair bit over the years and have always had good service from there. The post office tends to have one counter open and this is at the back of the general store.You can also collect Evri parcels from here, but you need to go to the counter by the door (the shop counter, rather than the post office counter) to pick those up.”

“This is not my local post office, but I prefer it over my own & I will go out of my way to come here. The postmistress has always been so helpful & accommodating whenever I have to send parcels to Australia & so far have not gotten lost (unlike Birchgove post). We always have a natter & I feel that nothing is too much bother.”

“I hesitated to go to this Post Office branch for my holiday money after the awful reviews but it is my closest and I wanted to check it out for myself. I was very pleasantly surprised - the two lady staff smiled and said hello as I approached the counter and the lady who served me was very helpful and friendly. I told her about the reviews and she was very taken aback. Time to redress the balance! The phone number listed on the web-site is incorrect by the way!! Oh - and this is Liz, not Sam!!”

“Post Office in a corner store. One staff member looks after both tills so there can be a short wait. However, staff know their stuff and are happy to help you work out best postage etc. ”

Happy to help, very efficient given current reduced opening hours and were very pleased the item was prepaid so minimal interaction required.Screens and PPE being used.Some distancing lines outside would be useful and this stops me giving 5 stars.”

“This place is hands down the friendliest little post office in all of Cardiff. Other local post offices can make anybody other than fully paid up pension-drawers feel like outsiders, as though they need another three decades as a customer before they're greeted with warmth afforded the lived-here-all-my-life old-timers. In Victoria Park Post Office, however, the chatty postmistress will know your name inside a couple of weeks of visiting, and that can only make the ordinarily drab experience of queuing to send a parcel a touch cheerier. The shop side of things is less of a necessity, given the abundance of convenience stores along Cowbridge Road, but stocks a handy range of stationary and packing materials nevertheless. When post offices closures are aligned with the destruction of local community spirit, you normally think of tiny hamlets and sleepy villages. But this end of Canton would be far poorer without this encouragingly welcoming outlet.”
