Our server today at Cardiff Bay was Anh.
She was very friendly, helpful and attentive.
Also when it came to pay, she asked if I had blue light discount (which I always forget I have!)

Anh, our server, was so enthusiastic and beyond helpful. She made sure that both me and my partner used the app so that we could maximise our rewards and helped us out with our Tastecard and food suggestions when we asked! Not only this but we had matching gel chrome nails! Lovely meal out, made even lovelier by the service! Thanks so much Anh! ???

Cardiff Bay, we had a 13 birthday party for grandson
Drinks are a bit pricey though.
Vegetarian options: We chose this one because one in our party is gluten free.
Parking: Cardiff Bay, it was cold on 2 January but had a good time.
Kid-friendliness: Very good with children.
Wheelchair accessibility: All flat and modern so I should think it's wheelchair friendly ?

Wrong drink - a can of pop served warm
After drawing thier attention to this abysmal fare they offered a refund - of less than half I paid?!?
Pizza Express now trades of past glories - don?t bother.
& THEN IT GETS WORSE!
The Manager Steve promptly responded to my review - you can read his text book consolatory; concerned; eager to speak response below.
So I I took up Steve?s Pizza Express Cardiff Bay Managers offer and emailed him directly to re-iterate that I do not want to pay for a cold pizza with uncooked toppings and the wrong drink.
SHOCKER!!! Alert.
Steve - yes Steve the Manager of Cardiff Bay Pizza Express >>>> hasn?t actually been arsed to reply to me never mind issue me with a refund.
So PIZZA EXPRESS CARDIFF BAY - if your after crap food and worse service go for it!

Visited before a show at the WMC. Thank you, Steven for your great customer service. Lovely food, friendly staff, lovely ambience and great value with the January offer. Made for a great start to our night out, having rushed through the traffic. Cheers guys ?

Ordered from your mermaid Quay branch. The delivery option was Just Eat, having never used this company we went ahead and ordered. We were staying in a hotel near the bay. The pizza arrived 10 mins late, the driver called us to say he had arrived. I went to the hotel lobby expecting to collect our order. On arrival, my pizzas were nowhere to be seen. The reception staff had not seen any deliveries. I looked outside, no one. Finally, I saw a car on the far side of the carpark put his hazard lights on, I walked over to the car in the vague hope this might be our pizzas, yes I found them after a 10 minute pizza hunt. This can not be the way Pizza Express wants to conduct its business. I did complain to your customer service department, and they just passed the buck telling me to contact Just Eat. Just Eat offered me £6.19 for my inconvenience and inedible cold pizzas. Poor show all round. Certainly, I will not order again from Pizza Express or Just Eats

We came out for dinner to remember and honour my Dad's birthday (he passed away a number of years ago). The customer service from Anh was superb. It really added to our experience, which as it was a significant date for me, really added to my day. Anh's personality and warm manner are a real credit to this restaurant. I am also dairy and gluten intolerant and she happily checked my questions regarding elements of different items on the menu with the chef. In some restaurants it can feel like a bit of a hassle to have to ask questions and check options but she happily checked, making me feel it was no trouble at all. They do take allergens seriously here, which is something I always want to know when deciding whether to go somewhere. I hope the restaurant know what a star Anh is!
Dietary restrictions: There were plenty of options for dishes to be made gluten free and there is vegan cheese available. I had a BBQ burnt ends pizza adapted with vegan cheese to make it both gluten and dairy free. I also had a ginger cake with an oat milk coffee for dessert. Both were lovely.

Very busy. My first visit to Pizza Express. We ordered a sloppy joe pizza in the family bundle. Have to say it was extremely dry and both pizzas flavourless. The dough balls to dunk were delicious. Drinks were a bit slow. Not sure I would rush back. The duty manager was dashing around being vocal of they had over 200 covers whilst we were there and a weather warning for the next day, and they'd be ok. Very disappointing

Anh, our server, was absolutely fantastic, very attentive including with allergies and knowledge of the menu. Five stars for her and she deserves lovely free coffees and a pay rise. The menu system for cocktail offers wasn?t synced so led to us getting overcharged by £8+ and the manager offered us a can of juice. We insisted on a refund for the proper amount which was eventually sorted after a small wait. Thanks again, Anh.
