As a university student i have used this pharmacy for over 4 years this pharmacist gives excellent advice and has great knowledge. The pharmacist sorted out a chronic cough that i have had for many years. I will miss this excellent pharmacist and hope to find a similar pharmacist in England. Many thanks for looking after me in CardiffOliver

Seems like everytime I have to go here they never have anything in stock, the women shows little to no care and blames suppliers yet it if there was any effort made a new supplier would be contacted. Multiple times have not been able to get either my medicine my partner medicine or my children's medicine even as simple as penicillin will not use again and will be complaining to the health board it's not acceptable

the pharmacist i?ve seen every time i?ve been in might be the most unsympathetic person i?ve ever met.she has refused to take prescriptions on multiple occasions - resulting in us having to call both the doctors and 111 for an urgent prescriptioneven then she talks down to you like a child, as if she is telling you off for coming to collect your prescribed medication...what warrants her to be so rude and condescending to people? from what i can tell her staff seem terrified of her too :(nobody should have to be scared to ask for/ collect their prescriptiondear lady : i hope you read this, please retire

I am actually so disappointed at how rude some of the people working here are. Just very short and snappy, cut you off when you?re trying to speak and you can tell they?re impatient and want to end the call as soon as they can! Had a prescription faxed to a pharmacy closer to my house once and they seemed salty and was no help at all! I?ve only had one good experience with one of the pharmacists working there so this one star is for her.

Genuinely appalled with this pharmacy. My friend needed to collect their antidepressants on repeat prescription which had been sorted well in advanced and this pharmacy confirmed it would be there on Monday. However they did not have it and were very rude about not having it. We had the prescription sent to a different pharmacy owing to the fact my friend had run out and desperately needs that med to function. We had no problem at the other pharmacy. My friend had a phone call from North Road pharmacy today saying in very rude terms that they refused to ever serve my friend again. Absolutely disgusting that the head pharmacist would behave is such an unpleasant and unprovoked way, by someone who desperately needed their meds.

North Road Pharmacy offers a convenient conventional service to patients at UHW Hospital, (the Cardiff student hospital), which is situated a little further up the road. It is also well placed to dispense to the patients attending The Balfour Clinic in the same district. Currently only stocking orthodox medicines, it is meeting the demands of this Primary Care area. However, there are plans to develop services beyond the present allopathic remit at some point in the future. Well known for all the right reasons by the indigenous local and student population, North Road Pharmacy has become pretty infamous amongst the emergency services as well, for much more curious reasons. Possessing a telephone number that terminates in 999 has prompted some of the more elderly patients, that use the pharmacy, to cause panic along the wire, believing that they are simply enquiring about repeat prescriptions, but instead have launched a fleet of patrol cars and fire engines! It doesn't happen so often these days, but it was a regular occurrence before they changed the area codes.
