Stay away unless really need to use Makro treforest.Most rudest ,ignorant ,saddest ,non customer focused staff I have ever seen.Was served by a blonde women in her 50s today very rude,sad and ignorant & arrogant person.Though spoke to the manager a few times on previous visits hes reasonable bloke.All the till staff I have ever been served by in this branch should not be put on tills they should be put on stacking shelves or sacked as they are trying there best for customers to never come back so they can probably sit back and do nothing.Remember people like us pay your wages and keep you in a job.I would give it zero stars if I could.If my staff were like that towards customers I would sack them on the spot .

This place is tiny I pop in every few weeks to collect a few select items. Having been about 6 times since I joined I can say that the staff there are absolutely rude. No people skills whatsoever, even if your not happy put on a smile and don't let your faces show it. There's one woman with a strong valleys accent who thinks she can talk to you like poo. Not an isolated case it is everytime I go there. Faces like thunder the lot of them.

With all the measures in place and with restricted opening times the staff are always on hand to help and the management always have a smile on their face to welcome you. This has been trying for all of us but we will remember all this when we finally get back to some normality and I will be back . Thank you ?

Struggled to find any sort of deals. The supermarkets are cheaper for a lot of things.Costco is a million times better

Unfortunately for the UK the Dusseldorf based Metro washed their hands of their interest in our country after many decades (although it was the even better Makro on first entering the UK) - upon this we said goodbye to high quality and bargain priced clothes, electricals, shoes, jewelery, books, entertainment, home and garden, an amazing cafe, toys, everything aside from food and workmens tools and clothes. The car park used to be brimming from open to close the place used to be packed and people would go there several times a week, every week - sometimes several times a day. Pretty much everything in my life during the 1990s and 2000s was sourced in Makro.
Now it is a Booker in all but name, and bears almost no resemblance to the store it was, and it's an absolute crying shame. It has left a hole. You could spend a whole day in makro!
Unfortunately being purely catering focused means the makro of today has given its share of the all departments under one roof market to Costco, which while decent is far more pricey than the original concept.
Oh well it will just live on as fond memories for people. God knows what will happen to the store/brand in the long run. I think they have even lost Aro products which initially they had an agreement with Metro to keep being supplied with after the Booker deal.
Still I suppose its something that the Makro name has lasted as long as it has given during the credit crunch it was the wholesalers hit hardest.
