Took my mother to return a parcel from evri as told by Amazon. The machine wasn?t easy for her and I had trouble in doing it. So we asked the woman behind the counter , but she was no help and very rude and told us to go to one stop up the road. So we did and a lovely young girl in there helped us and showed us how to use it. It isn?t the first time I?ve had attitude in that place , also another occasion I wanted a pair of trousers taken in and they were rude then so I left. They obviously make money from the returns machine being in there so could be a little more helpful. Wouldn?t recommend this place there is a lovely seamstress cheaper and they do the work on the premises, not send it away. in Whitchurch village upstairs by McCall?s.

I have been to Johnson?s a couple of times now and found a particular member of staff extremely rude and intimidating. Firstly, for dry cleaning of a bridesmaids dress to which she rolled her eyes and was told it was too dirty on the ends to get clean, safe to say I went elsewhere and it came up perfectly! Secondly was to post back a parcel using Evri, as I entered the shop I was shouted at ?we?re not going to take your parcel!? Quite aggressively, I was very much taken aback and asked where else locally they would accept it to which they rolled their eyes and pointed me down the road. No politeness or apology just plain rude! I should?ve learnt my lesson the first time. Go elsewhere, Ladybirds in Taffs well is much cheaper and customer service is much better!!

So efficient and helpful - performed miracles with a white dress stained with a pink cocktail and they also made a cream coat as good as new. I find the team who I think are Jan and Rachel, to be friendly and very amenable.

Friendly and prompt. The staff are absolut magicians, they managed to get espresso martini stains out of my powder blue Italian wool suit. Very reasonable price too.

We used the wedding dress cleaning service following the completion of the legal ceremony in city hall to prepare the dress for a celebration party at a later date. The dress was sent away to be cleaned and was returned on a hanger with no mention of any issues. On closer inspection the dress had in fact been washed, had been shrunk and the silk was ruined. We were told to bring the dress in to be sent away for testing and a report came back stating it was ?washed in detergent with optical brightening agents?. Proof that they had in fact washed the silk dress instead of the wedding dress service that was requested and paid for.We were told that the dress was celebratory in nature and had filled its primary purpose therefore as a good will gesture they would pay us half the receipt cost (not taking into account travel & accommodation for fittings) and offer £100 as compensation. They highlighted that they use the Textile Services Association guidelines when judging fair compensation; but when asked, they were unable to provide a copy of these guidelines because they were not actually a member of the association and haven?t been for nearly 2 years. We will be out of pocket roughly £1500/£2000 to replace the dress for our wedding celebration. Throughout the entire situation Johnson?s were evasive, uncaring & indifferent in their responses to a really upsetting situation.
