Scones are dry, cold and definitely not homemade. Basically £3 for a small scone that comes from a Tesco multi-pack. Would recommend you give this a miss.

I've taken visitors to Jasper's previously and certainly enjoyed our time there. BUT today, Thursday July 31 2025, 322pm, I went in to order a cake and coffee to sit in their garden in the sun (it's been downpouring so a break in the clouds then and sunshine). I was told they close at 4pm. Hey what a great welcome! Left immediately and took myself down to Halls of Llandaff Gift shop to look around then over to Coffi Lab where the welcome was lovely, I sat outside at the tables on the pavement, and walked back to the car by Jaspers and it wasn't quite 4pm! Too bad for Jasper's! I wonder how many lovely afternoon customers they lose by telling them haughtily they are closing at 4pm when there's plenty of time to have a drink and cake! Bad publicity spreads faster than great reviews.

A very lovely tea rooms, i must say one of the girls there with brown hair in a pony tail was amazing so very polite, her service was great and always had a smile on her face which made us feel very welcome which helped because i felt a-bit nervous as i hadn't been there before.
We had the afternoon tea and it was lovely really fresh and looked great and plenty of options for the sandwiches the egg mayo sandwich was my favourite .

We got married in Insole Court and celebrated with afternoon tea for our family and friends here. Jane went above and beyond to make it an incredible experience for us - we didn't really expect it - it was a nice surprise! We ended up in a private room, the table layout was so thoughtful. Staff were so lovely and attentive. Most of all, everyone enjoyed the food and we were all very full and happy. Thanks for making this time extra special for us!

Very pricey. We had afternoon tea for 5 , 1 coke, 1 milkshake £115( maybe 1 sandwich was cut for fingers, the smallest Welsh cake what I ever seen, mini macaron, 1 strawberry dipped in white chocolate, 3 tiny cakes, 1 mint/ person )
One of my veggie sandwich was tomatoes only !

I finally got to visit a café my friend recommended. It?s been a while since we had sunny weather?it?s cold, but it feels refreshing. This café is perfect for a day like this. I even saw someone drop by while walking their dog. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey and a scone. The clotted cream was lovely, and it came with a little jar of jam. The high tea in the city center was great too, but I?d definitely recommend this place as well.

First time visiting Jaspers tea room today with my Husband and throughly enjoyed. Beautiful traditional afternoon tea ! All our favourite sandwich fillings and cakes. So fresh and tasty. Delightful atmosphere and very friendly staff. We will definitely be returning ! Thank you ?

Visited here with mum for mothers day. Afternoon tea was delicious varied choice of sandwiches. Professional service and very attentive even though extremely busy. FABULOUS! Thank you

Brilliant afternoon tea experience for myself and partner with our 2.5 year old daughter. Jane and the team were very accompanying of her and even did a mini afternoon tea for her. The afternoon tea itself was superb too, I ate it all!
Lovely old school furniture and feel to the place with a welcoming team.
Very clean and tidy. Great to have 2 hours free parking just across the road. Would highly recommend anyone to visit jaspers if they want a great experience of afternoon tea! Love the paintings around the place too. We will be back!

We arrived and were welcomed show to a table that had been reserved for then ask a couple of questions to clarify our special dietary needs which made us feel happy that our needs had been met a very welcoming and relax atmosphere,service was quick and carried out politely I would not hesitate in recommending a visit. We hope to revisit soon thanks to all for making feel so special.
