I rang up to complain they got my order wrong
They didn't want to sort it out
So they lost a customer
Be careful wirh these while ordering

The King Prawn Bhunna here is breath taking. Bursting with flavour.
Popadoms are always crispy and fresh.
I love mine with a bit of extra salt

The place was clean and tidy with padded bench and chair seating.
Food was very tasty with large portions.
A group of 12, and we didn?t have to have a set menu.
We chose what we wanted, and it came in a timely manner together.
Service was great with items offered, then empty and finished items removed promptly.
The night wasn't busy, but we created our own atmosphere.
At just over £300 for food and 2 drinks each I consider Janata Palace very good value.

Freezing cold food on delivery from the cyclist from canton to ely had food in restaurant and had delivery from car unfortunately bike delivery a no from us waste of money and food

The staff are welcoming and friendly. Regarding the food, the dishes were good but not spicy enough and too sweet. Same for the garlic naans which were good but not enough garlic.The price is very fair.

Janata Palace, nestled in Cardiff, UK, promises a journey through Indian cuisine, but unfortunately, falls short of expectations. Our recent visit left much to be desired, with the food quality leaving a sour taste in our mouths.Upon sampling the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Jalfrezi accompanied by naan, it became evident that culinary excellence was not a priority. The naan, initially burnt to a crisp, was replaced promptly, only to be met with a second batch that was undercooked?a deliberate oversight, perhaps a testament to the chef's ego overshadowing the pursuit of gastronomic satisfaction.While the service maintained a commendable standard, the prolonged intervals between courses tested our patience.As for taste, the Chicken Tikka Masala's sugary overload was an affront to authentic Indian flavors, while the Chicken Jalfrezi offered a palatable respite. The starters, exemplified by the Chicken Tandoori, lacked the depth of seasoning and spice that would elevate them beyond mediocrity.In terms of ambiance, Janata Palace maintains cleanliness, yet falls short in the lighting department, leaving room for improvement to enhance the overall dining experience.Regrettably, one visit sufficed to dissuade any future returns. Janata Palace may not find favor among discerning Indian palates, as its offerings fail to resonate with the authenticity and quality expected.

Delivery took 75 minutes, when I?m 10 minutes or less from restaurant. Curry, naans and starter all luke warm. Will say the chicken madras was the nicest I?ve had for a long time - chicken cooked from scratch, sauce delicious & right amount of spiciness, but all had to be reheated. Naans, starters nothing special. Could improve by faster delivery time, and ensuring food arrives hot.

We've had our cycling club Christmas meal at the Janata Palace for the last three years. This year we had 48 people, the staff were polite, organised everything efficiently and the food was excellent, as always. Everyone enjoyed the night.
