“I had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect in the city centre with beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cardiff.

Nearby activities: The hotel is adjacent to Bute Park, not far from the stadium, train station, market, city centre and Cardiff castle, and many others.”

“Stayed for 1 night with a group of friends, the staff were friendly, engaging and offered good advice - special thanks to Mary and Lit. The hotels communal areas and our room were clean, bed was very comfortable, room spacious and we hardly heard any of our neighbours. We had breakfast and the selection on offer was good, service was help yourself, we did order a special item and service was quick. The only thing slightly troublesome with the lift system and trying to work that out but got there in the end. Enjoyable stay and we would certainly return.”

“Stayed here for a few weeks for work. Easy to get to rooms are clean, lots of tea and coffee avaliable for drinks in your room. The menu was great and all the food was very nice. I would recommend the goujons as a starter. All the staff are friendly and very helpful. I would recommend anyone to stay here if they are travelling in the area.Rooms: Very clean and spacious, you have access to your own thermost so you can set how warm you would like it. The shower is amazing, with great pressure and clean towels. If you are a tea/coffee drinker, you have your own kettle with plenty of supplies. The bed is very comfortable with nice fresh bedding.”

“This hotel is minutes away from Cardiff Central station. All the main city centre sites are nearby. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby, although there is a branch of Browns on the ground floor of the hotel itself.Great for a shopping weekend in Cardiff or if you are seeing a match at the Principality Stadium.”

“A very convenient spot to stay for a solo traveller, close to town and in a friendly part of the city. Great service by the host, couldn't have been any friendlier and warm, and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Also, the value for money is impeccable, I'd certainly recommend this place, and I look forward to returning!”

“Easy to access, plenty of parking. Visited for a spar day which was a mother's day gift and the second time I have visited. The afternoon tea was amazing,so much selection and was all freshly made.The guy taking care of us and our food was super pleasant and helpful. The treatments were great and the ladies were again so pleasant and helpful. My only criticism was how busy the pool area was on arrival, there was no where to sit and relax because it was full which is what the experience is about. There were three of us crammed uncomfortably on one lounger for over half hour and this was shared with us from other guests who felt sorry for us who then left their group short, luckily some became available after treatments and we were able to relax and enjoy the area for what time we had left.”

“Excellent place to stay. Seafront. Very friendly. Lovely rooms. Good breakfast. We had two rooms here and both were good. Right next to the sea. Parking is not ideal though immediately around the property.”

“Wonderful stay, staff were extremely friendly. Lovely large comfortable bed overlooking the lake it was very peaceful was spotlessly clean. We eat at the restaurantar over looking the lake it was delicious, highly recommend the beef dish. Breakfast was plentiful very tasty loved the pancake machine. Thank you to all the staff .”

“A warm welcome from reception. Was there for an all-day meeting and a good supply of pastries, and help-yourself drinks. Lunch was fine and the stroganoff and lemon rice was the best pick.”

“Staff were very polite & helpful, Location was good with access to transport links - good welcome upon check in & clear directions given - corridors clean , room was good value for money and clean but could do with touch up in some areas, shower & toilet room little tight fit but shower was good. Easy access to onsite pub for food & drinks - vending machine also available - only issue for me was Pillows were a bit flat but it didn't ruin my stay - will stay here again though”

“Very good location for exploring the bay on foot. Free parking by car. Value for money. More trade vans than passengers cars in parking. At moment road blocked up for building work. Good side is quiet in the night.”

“Took my mother-in-law for food for her birthday. We had carvery which was really nice, I had parsley sauce on mine. Staff were very polite and the carvery server was very funny with the mother-in-law as she wanted a small Yorkshire pudding and gave her what looked like a pancake. We had a giggle. Food tasted lovely. Thank you.”

“WE SURVIVED yes that's right survived what can only be described as the worse place to stay in CardiffFrom the time you arrive be on your guardWeed is apparent as soon as you arrive in the building and the dealers running up and down the halls al night are not quietThe room it's self is magical rose gold walls dirty beds dirty floors kettle with no cups tele that is smashed furniture broken and beds that have no base I can honestly say trap houses are cleaner”

“We had a family room. Size was good but the extra bed was very hard, pillows too. Apart from that very adequate for what we needed. Good to have tea/coffee available in the room. Towels & toiletries also good.The staff were really helpful & friendly.Its located opposite a very busy live bar/club but we didn't hear that from our room, but I could imagine it being very noisy if in the front & also lots of people hanging around there when we returned from our night out.We could easily get to where we wanted to visit & yes, we'd use it again.”

“Hotel its self is lovely, staff helpful and friendly. room very nice. But the noise from outside kept us awake most of the night and window was not open. the shower door didn't have a rubber on the end of the glass that makes it stay on the bath when you push it in place so bathroom floor got soaked. No floor mat 1 hand towel 2 small bath towels had to use the hand towel to be safe getting out of shower. Bed and pillows so uncomfortable there was a mattress topper on top of the mattress that was smaller than the bed for price you would expect better quality pillows not flat ones and a bed with no topperNoteworthy details: Handy if your going to see a show in motorpoint area”

“It's in the center of the city, the room is nice and clean, service is fair for a 1 star hotel. The service desk attendance were helpful when you ask. No restaurant but it was not an issue because they are surrounded with a lot of the best restaurants in Cardiff.”
