Lovely place, I came to Cardiff for Business but the hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere, lot of open air, space to relax, all rooms in my underestanding take you directly to the open space and in covid time it is a great thing. Staff aare very helpfull, plus breakfast is great and made fresh for you, I shall definitely come back

Not cleanest of hotels, very basic and dated, £150 deposit required on arrival make sure your room is as when arrived or will keep that deposit. Breakfast have to book a slot, tbh not worth value burnt even though made to order. Staying on business but really would not recommend unless just needing a bed for night. Beds uncomfortable and not friendliest of staff housekeeping very rude not hospitable. Coffee and teas cups etc not in rooms have to request at reception. Rooms smelt like dirty toilet water used to clean them

This place is really run down. Could open my door with any card. Breeze coming through gaps in door and window. Carpet beetles found in my towels in the morning. Really not nice.

This has to be one of the worst hotels i have stayed in, where do i start, i arrived at 13.55 , checkin 14.00 to be told come back at 14.00. little confused i was 5 minutes early anyway i stood there thinking only a few minutes, for the guy behind the counter to say to me no point i waiting there i wont see you any quicker.... so anyway 14.00 came along i said can i check in now please got given room key went to it and it reminded me of a 1960's holiday camp. room in major need of renovation i paid £80 for one night here it was not worth anywhere near that. room had not been properly cleaned. but a price list on the door say basically if they feel you make to much noise they can charge your card £150, and if your room is left a mess they can charge you a minimum of £100. ive never seen this before. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND BOOK ELSE WEAR

Super cheap, and the room was good quality. Need a car if you're visiting the town center.

Travelled over 6 hours to arrive at the hotel we booked as it also had a restaurant, to be greeted by a staff member with a lack of people skills saying"what do you want". When trying to book a table at the restaurant to be told it hadn't been open for 6 months was not acceptable, especially when the website and app doesn't tell you this. When we highlighted this we were told it wasn't "their problem" and there was a chip shop in town. Not what we wanted to hear after a 6 hour journey. The exterior of the hotel and car park were unkempt, as were the communal areas. The room was only just ok, bath towels appeared soiled and the shower was less than useless with little water pressure. We could go on and on but the main message is to avoid this hotel.

I GUESS I should have realised you get what you pay for, when booking hotels.Still though, this place is pretty rubbish.Plus side:It's warm, and dry. Also is got a locking door (oooh swish). There were no OBVIOUS signs of damp. The one member of staff I met was nice enough.Negative side:The room stank of damp the moment we opened the door. Literally the very moment the door was opened damp wafted out.The TV controller was broken. The towels were stained. There was no food available (because "all the kitchen staff had covid" apparently). We were handed paper cups with sachets of coffee sugar and milk, as the only way to get drinks during our stay. The reception closed early, so it was impossible to resolve issues. There was no info given relating to so called "free wifi".It's in a pretty weird place. No discount was offered when I complained.I won't be back.

Very good value and a good place to stay with a dog but best to phone first to make sure they have a suitable room as the ones at the back on the ground floor face a lovely large grassed area. Would give more stars if the restaurant opened in the evenings. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast though, thanks you

This hotel is a budget hotel but very good value for money. The bonus for me they accept dogs which was good. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was very good quality and plenty of choice. The cooked breakfast it cooked to order which means its nice and hot.The staff are very cheerful and helpful nothing is to much trouble for them

Not a charming place to stay.Feels like cave with glass window. No privacy coz of transparent curtains.Due to time constraints we planned quickly in budget.Room doesn't feel fresh. As many of you know it smells damp.£10-20/night is more than sufficient for this quality of maintenance.Bathrooms not all well maintained.£18 is exorbitant for basic breakfast. Room size is smaller than a one bedroom apartment.Since this is the first time in Wales gave it a shot but wouldn't be back.Never! We look for some freshness when we are away from home not the smell of a undried clothes lying in washing machine and taken out after a week. Not sure what is done with all the money we pay for stay.Basic freshener will do the job.

Felt quite dated, water pressure for shower was non existent, didnt have much sleep due to the group next door smashing their room up and laughing ect until 9am. Wouldnt stay here again.

I would seriously think you?ve done something wrong in life if you have to stay here. It?s the most dreadful appalling hole that is more of a punishment to stay rather than a necessity. On checking in I was asked if I wanted tea/coffee in my room & was given a paper cup with 2 tea bags & sachets of milk which did not bode well. On entering the shabby, hideous compartment they called a room it was freezing cold. If you?ve got guests coming don?t you ensure the room is warm & you?re not freezing your whatsits off. The room had no redeeming features & had a feel of grubbiness & seediness. One did not want to spend any more time in it than totally necessary. The outside spoke for itself in a state of general disrepair, unkept with shabby signage. They even had a poster in reception of where other Campaniles were located in case one wanted to relive the experience as if staying once was not punishment enough. BTW I did not book this as it was booked by a third party for work. WARNING: avoid this dirty hole at all costs. Sleep in your car instead, it?ll be more comfortable & clean. DO NOT STAY HERE if you know what?s good for you.
