Good convenience store. However, it's a pity Home Bargains in any Cardiff store does not sell home produced products from Wales! Even Tesco sells Welsh dairy products, for instance.

Surprisingly bigger on the inside than we first thought. Great select on food items, from basic staples, like bread, milk to speciality items like oreo cereal. Lots of good offers by the tills, mostly food from what we could see. They didn't seem to have much furniture items, but they had lots of bathroom items, cosmetics too basics and accessories. Large stationary section, good for adults and kids.
The team their are super friendly and lovely too, it was super warm when we went yesterday and everyone their was making such a big effort with all the customers ? massive shout out to the till ops, you could hear them acknowledging regulars and welcoming newer faces.

In the past, I received a counterfeit banknote at this store. Since then, I do not accept any banknotes here only coins or I pay by card. Today, I had a very unpleasant experience with a staff member a woman with dark hair past her shoulders, of shorter stature, who was extremely rude and unprofessional, behaving like some kind of Gestapo. She refused to give me change even though she had it, and treated the customer disrespectfully. Every customer has the right to refuse a banknote if they have previously received a counterfeit one from you. If I receive a counterfeit banknote again, I will file an official complaint with the head office. This behavior is unacceptable; you are rude and overly confident but neglect the basic rules of professional customer service. I do not recommend this store to anyone who values polite and honest treatment.If I find her name I will add the name here so that everyone know.

Red haired older lady at the tills treats you like a child while ID?ing you, like she always expects you to be underage. Today buying only OCB papers she was extremely condescending and her face dropped when me and my two friends had clear ID. We once unknowingly had a friend without ID while I was making a purchase and we were genuinely treated with 10 times the respect. Save the ill manners for when we don?t actually have ID rather than before we can give it to you. I may be a student but I am 21 and at this point being treated like I am 14 over paper is something I entirely have a choice in putting with.

Wide variety of items at lower prices. Some of the staffs attitude is horrible but not the manager.Would be ideal , if they extended the opening hours.

I recently made a purchase at this Home Bargains store and unknowingly received a fake £5 note. When I tried to use it at another store, the cashier identified it as counterfeit. I contacted Home Bargains to inform them about the issue, but they denied giving me the fake note and seemed unwilling to take further action.
I understand that counterfeit notes can sometimes slip through, but I believe it is important for stores to take responsibility and address these situations to prevent customers from unknowingly getting into trouble. I hope Home Bargains can improve their counterfeit detection process to avoid similar issues in the future. This is a serious concern for all customers, as receiving fake money can lead to significant problems.
I hope the store takes this feedback seriously and works to ensure counterfeit notes do not circulate.

I shop here almost daily as I work nearby and have never had a complaint as staff are generally lovely. However, today the young man on the till closest to the exit was unbelievably rude. I approached the till as he was finishing up serving the gentleman in front of me, only to see him giving him dirty looks as he left the store and clearly muttering under his breath about him the entire time he was serving me. Did not greet me despite me saying hello, and only time he spoke to me was to bluntly spit the price of my items at me. Unfortunatley this isnt the first time ive been served by him and every single time he has caused me to leave feeling annoyed. Shame as the rest of the staff are absolute stars ?
