I had a fantastic stay at Holiday Inn. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect in the city centre with beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cardiff.
Nearby activities: The hotel is adjacent to Bute Park, not far from the stadium, train station, market, city centre and Cardiff castle, and many others.

excellent place, comfortable rooms, This establishment is exceptional, particularly due to the staff members who were exceedingly helpful, including Sayed, Fiona, Blanca, Rosmi, and the restaurant supervisor. Each individual contributed magnificently to the experience.

The bed was a bit small for us and weekend that meant having to wait for seats at breakfast. Had to wait 20 minutes for scrambled egg and 15 minutes for sausages. The location is perfect for us.
Walkability: It's in the city centre so handy for everything. It has good access points in and out of the city.

This was our 1st stay we were met by a friendly member of staff and Welsh cakes offered our room was clean we stayed on the 3rd floor right opposite the castle bed was comfy pillows nice and soft breakfast was delicious plenty on offer we had a meal in bar one evening after we arrived back from principality stadium watching the speedway we will definitely be returning couldn't fault anything
Rooms: Room Was clean quiet bathroom had all dove toiletries tea coffee biscuits and bottled water was stocked up everyday
Nearby activities: We stayed in a room opposite castle other side of hotel was principality stadium close to centre bus stop right outside and boat trips only a fee minutes walk from hotel
Safety: Lifts had to be activated by a card which made us feel safe

Service was nice and the room was relatively clean. However, all the pictures of the room were definitely misleading. It's a LOT smaller than the pictures make it out to be. And the beds and pillows are /very/ poor quality, extremely hard. I joined IHG membership to get a better price, but I'll be ending the membership after this stay. This was not worth the cost, and shame on Holiday Inn for intentionally posting misleading pictures of its rooms.

Location is excellent, and we had a lovely clean room with excellent sleep quality. Excellent bathroom also.

Pros: Location, parking, friendly staff
Cons: Tired rooms, EXCEPTIONALLY loud lift audio. You can hear "*bing* 4th Floor" 20 metres down the corridor. Why not switch this off?

Rooms are very tired and breakfast wasn't great for £14. Staff were very helpful though and the hotel location is perfect for central attractions / events.

Location is the best. Also if you call for some needs, they will provide what you need. Every thing was good just the room was the worst of my experience in Holiday inn rooms ( I usually use this hotel in the UK). Carpet was so dirty and inappropriate decoration, piping in room and wardrobe was annoying.

Good location right opposite the castle & 2min walk to shops & bars. Friendly staff at front desk. £15 parking for 24hrs. Really good would recommend.

Sandwich between the castle and the stadium, this hotel is at the center of all events. I found other review mentioned that the double room is not as spacious as she imagined. I booked a twin room and from the photo, I assumed that my room is bigger than hers. The reception did their job nicely. The breakfast was great. My only complain is the room rate, yet I had to pay it because coming here is an absolute must.
Nearby activities: Both the castle and the stadium, so there are lots of concerts and sport events.
