Visited store to purchase a tent peg hammer/pull which I had pre checked online. Online it didn't say it needed age verification (unlike obvious items like knives and solvents) and in the shop it didn't have signs saying age verification was required. Because my four year old was holding it near the till the member of staff refused service before it was even scanned. Please sign post your age restricted items properly as this is not made clear online or in-store and is not consistent with other stores policies. My child thought he did something wrong which could have been avoided with correct signage online and in store.
The hammer is still available to purchase online without age restriction which I recommend you update.

Bought a coat berghaus Maitland jktia marked up as £165 with discount should of been 148 but relooked ok shelves and they were £145, shop attendant said it was wrong ?but honored it, then asked for my membership and was told expired and would have to pay £5 to re register, I said no logged into my account to show I was live, but till said I wasn't very confused so fella gave me a card and said use that instead.
Then finally came home to scan QR code to leave a review and that doesn't work so hence came straight onto main site to leave a review.
Second time in shop and love the stuff but what a complete nightmare paying for stuff.

Awful place, rude staff, staff are clueless on product knowledge. Faulty items bought and wouldnt even deal with the query or direct me to be able to get it fixed. Online team not much better either giving out incorrect information but at least they attempted to provide some service. Go to Cotswold Outdoor instead, much better quality and service.

Visited today to purchase kit for our ultra Canicross marathonStore was tidy and well signposted. For anything we couldn't find, Tom Allen was on hand to help us as the store was quiet. Gave great recommendations and really helped us collect our full kit list.

Bought a tent and some airbeds online, went to pick up and received excellent customer service from Chris F he also helped us pick up a few extra things we needed and was very knowledgeable about the products as we were first time campers

Not great for woman outdoor clothing, lack of choice compared to the men's section and the colour choice is terrible - pink, purple, baby blue!! Female outdoor clothing for woman is improving, however it is not reflected in this store.
