Having been a long-term customer of Direct Eyecare, my experience was previously good. I received good advice from the staff and manager at the time (Lois) for frames and lenses, particularly as I have sensitivity around the bridge of my nose.However, upon my last visit, there were new assistants and a new manager (Bethan) who advised me to buy glasses that eventually proved to be heavily weighted on the bridge of my nose, leaving painful indentations in my skin.Effectively, I am now left with glasses that I cannot use!!Bethan has categorically told me that they are not obliged to help me further; and furthermore is not responding to my emails or phone calls.I will now go to Specsavers as they have a larger variety of frames, and more importantly, they offer a 3 months no questions money back guarantee if customers are unsatisfied, as also do Vision Express.I would urge people to do the same.

I recently had an eye test at Direct Eyecare on Clifton Street - I found the service to be exceptional and highly professional throughout the test and choosing glasses. Holly, in particular, was very helpful in picking out glasses frames that suited me and explaining the different additions.100% would recommend and I will certainly be coming back in the future.Thank you :)

Excellant opticians. Staff are friendly and helpful and the whole experience was great. I would recommend, especially if you get overwhelmed easily as it's quiet in there and you don't have to move around a massive building to do every eye test and the staff are patient even when you decide to try on all the blue glasses they had!

*#*Realhereoesdontwearcapes*#*Hats off to our community superheroes! As a health care professional I walked in to try on a frame little did I know the girls were tending to a medical emergency. An elderly customer who was unconscious and needed professional help. They spent over an hour to Ambulance control with no help forthcoming. After the patient was stabilised I later learned the optometrist personally drove the patient to A&E! Proud to support a local business#supportlocalbusiness

Went here to help my friend pick out some frames and in the process got my own glasses adjusted and fixed! . Really polite and friendly staff and excellent precautions taken regarding Covid.

I was referred here by my GP for suspected Uveitis and was seen within half an hour and able to commence early treatment. This is a hugely valuable service and avoid a trip to accident and emergency. The ophthalmologist was extremely clear in explaining the diagnosis and had an excellent patient manner and was clearly dedicated to his profession. Excellent and crucial service for Cardiff, well done!
