Friendly staff in store but I have NEVER been able to reach them by phone . What is the point of having a contact number?

So went and dropped off a prescription for some antibiotics was told it would take an hour (thought hour is a bit of a long time) so decided to go somewhere and grab some food. Hour went by and went back to be told that they didn?t have the medication. I asked why when I dropped it off why was I not told as I wasted an hour in this cooking hot weather I was told they did put a call out on the intercom. Like hell I?m staying in boots. I don?t understand why they don?t take a mobile number to call you if there?s an issue. I was told to go to Tesco which I did at which point was done in 5 minutes. I?m not a fan of boots at the start and now can?t stand them even more. Fingers crossed that they get closed. The store always feels dirty and poorly stocked with stock all over the place. The staff are always rude. On a previous visit over the weekend I visited the pharmacy as got a bite by a flea and asked for something for it and was given a cream when it didn?t work went to my regular chemist and showed them the cream and were shocked as the cream was for a skin rash by this point the chemist told me I had to go to the gp as he was sure it became badly infected and had a reaction to the bite. I should?ve learnt by that not to trust the pharmacists in boots.

Security guard was following behind on ever isle. Felt very uncomfortable due to this and will not be shopping there again.

Poor store layout, dishevelled and messy produce layout. Very poor service, waiting to be served and ignored, not even an explanation. Really poor. I've left my goods and have gone elsewhere.

The lady on the no 7 counter today was so helpful! Helped me find my perfect shade in foundation and concealer and then let me know about other offers within the range. Really friendly.

Dreadful experience at the boots Cardiff bay pharmacy on Sunday. Was told I would have to wait 30 minutes, returned after 45 and the item was not checked. Staff seemed more interested in selling otc items than dealing with prescriptions. No eye contact and not particularly polite. People go to pharmacies because they need medication and go on Sunday if it?s an out of hours need ie urgent. No empathy at all. Eventually got my prescription and a telling off from the officious ?manager? for having the temerity to complain that they had misled me. Very very disappointing experience.
I have phoned customer services today (26/2/25) as they have not responded to my online complaint on the boots website (or in fact responded to it). Let's see if they respond to my verbal complaint rather than the generic and unhelpful platitudes (below).

Really poor customer service at pharmacy, staff is really not cooperative. After half hour wait in the que,2 days wait just for available medication.

Whilst I haven't given a flawless score of 5 that's just because my item wasn't in stock. If it was based on customer service alone, I would've marked Abbie a 10.

This pharmacy team was amazing at helping me when my usual pharmacist had thrown my post-dated script away and then failed to order in my medicine, leaving me without any medication over Christmas.
The whole team seemed in good spirits although clearly extremely busy in the Christmas rush. The lady I spoke to was so kind, I actually got emotional from it, as it was in stark comparison to how I'd been treated by my usual pharmacist. They gave me clear expectations, provided a non-judgmental space and got my medication for me.
Thanks again to the team who saved Christmas for me! And thank you for providing a safe space for people with autism.

The deputy store manager Tom was less than useful.
I came in specifically because the website says the store does instant print stickers, however the machine here does not.
Tom had no willingness to help at all, he wanted me to leave and go individually call every store myself, even when the website claims that all stores have this function to print stickers. I had no signal inside to even do this, and Tom said I should take a step outside and do it there.
Tom sarcastically ordered to call every store himself, and then when I said yes that would be great he backtracked on this and said he wasn't able to.
A total joke.

Staff are extremely rude! Avoid this one if you can. Reading through other reviews I?m not the only one who feels this way, clearly the staff need retraining in basic human decency!

I've just been shopping at your store in Cardiff Bay Retail Park and the person serving was one of the most impolite and rude people I've met in quite a while.
She got really annoyed with me when I politely pointed out a discrepancy after asking for a price check.
I'll stick with the one in Penarth town centre in future.

Once upon a time this boots store was fantastic but last few years has been going downhill rapidly. The outpour of negative reviews prove this. This is my local boots for over 20 years i live 5mins away. The biggest problem i?ve noticed is that they are short staffed. It?s been years and they can?t find staff? Almost every single time huge queues, they mess up repeat prescriptions, they don?t have the medication in stock, or you have to wait half a day. The staff are hit and miss sometimes ok sometimes very rude and aggressive. Chinese guy is always very friendly, puts a shift in and you see him running around like a headless chicken all the time. He?s over worked and needs help from competent staff. The other staff don?t have a clue. I visit another boots close by now (iykyk) about 20-30 visits now and everytime i get my meds the same day & max wait 5-10mins.
