Horrible place to work and to shop. They accuse everybody of stealing - staff and customers alike. The 3 women working there are not into any of the products they sell, they have zero knowledge, laugh at vegan, hippy people, say the food is dusgusting, judge students, and are entirely racist in their profiling of customers. Horrendously overpriced. Just an awful place.

Seriously tidy health food store with a huge range on shelves, fridges and freezers. Immensely helpful staff. Their fresh organic food is delicious.

Not a bad shop. Although everything was overpriced. I went in there to browse for nutrition supplements and other things that might be in the store. I guess wearing grey baggy pants and a tracksuit jacket makes anyone look suspicious, especially if they're wandering around the shop like I was.An elderly lady working there, started questioning my purpose being in the shop, and then started following me around the shop from 3 feet away. She could have atleast been more subtle in her approach of treating me like a potential criminal. I guess I know where she's coming from, but its definitely convinced me to not bother going back. It appears as though she had already decided in her mind I was going to steal something and it just made me look for the cheapest thing I could see, buy it, and walk out the door, while she scowled at me like I might have taken something. I would give one star, but I suppose when your dressed like I was, your sort of asking for it. I'm sure there's a more professional and subtle way for her to do her job though.

Friendly and knowledgeable service. Good and interesting range of products. Great to see a local independent retailer doing well. Definitely worth checking out.

beanfreaks is a great place to get products you wouldn?t normally find in your local supermarket, with a great selection of vegan items both in fresh produce and dry goods. That being said, the staff are very unfriendly.I come to this store semi-regularly and have only had two positive interactions when I first started shopping there. Now I often get followed around, small talk gets cut short, and I get treated in a very judgmental way. This happens regardless of how busy the shop is, I genuinely thought that they had a problem with me until reading other comments. I hope the staff read these reviews and work to improve the way they approach customers, it?s incredibly disappointing to be treated like this by the people who run your favourite health food shop?

Shopped here a few times today being most recent, unwelcoming staff, rude unhelpful especially the senior lady with the glasses, treated me with judgmental behaviour. I will never shop here again.

Great selection of difficult to find specialty items. I love the offering but I hate going there because the staff are so rude and follow you around the store as if they don't trust you. It's been this way for years. It's also quite expensive.

Great specialist food store focusing on health, free from, and veggie and vegan alternatives. I go in regularly and staff have always been chatty, kind, polite, and helped me look for/ order more specialist stuff. Great room of freezer and fridge produce at the back as well as dry goods, tins, and ingredients in the front.

The way I was treated here yesterday was appalling, my friend and I visited the store and because of the two customer limit we had to wait outside (which we were fine about due to the current situation) my friend went in first I waited roughly another 10mins.I wasn't in the store a minute when the sales assistant asked if I could leave because another customer was waiting outside and she assumed me and my friend were shopping together, we explained that it would be two separate transactions but no I had to leave. How rude and unprofessional.I left the store and took my custom to Holland and Barrett which is only a couple of doors down.I appreciate the current situation but there is a way to treat customers during this time and this isn't it!
