I had just come out of hospital having just had an operation.
At 6.10pm my wife then took a prescription to the pharmacist in asda cardiff gate for painkillers given to us by the hospital.
She spoke to the pharmacist and was told that she would have to wait 45 MINUTES whilst the pharmacist had her break.
My wife explained that I had literally just had an operation less than one hour previously and that i needed the prescribed medication asap and then had a one hour drive to get me home.
She was told to come back and it would be ready for collection at 6.30pm once the pharmacist had come back from her break.
Me and my wife waited in the car In Asda car park until it was time to go back in some 40 minutes later.
The pharmacy failed to reopen at 6.30 and finally opened at 6.50pm.
Once my wife returned to the pharmacy she was second in the queue but then had to wait another 40 minutes before she received the medication.
Whilst I fully appreciate people need to stop and have their break when in work I think given that my wife fully explained our situation the lady in question could have helped us out as we are talking just a few minutes.
We were extremely disappointed with her service and attitude given our circumstances and need to get medicated and home as swiftly as possible.

I went for lunch in the cafe area and unfortunately I couldn't have a mocha which was up on the menu and there was food on the floor and dirty tables. It also wasn't busy at the time

The quality of Asda products can't match the discount retailers. They may have more options but this is not always what it seems.
Apart from the general standard. Some things are just wrongly sourced. E.g I bought a Polaroid TV there for 300 pounds a couple of years back. Worst purchase ever, sound occasionally comes out as a loud blast. Remote stops working for a day for no reason. The hdmi connections never ever worked and actually burnt out two dvd and one blue-ray player in the attempts to connect.. The wifi antenna is poor compared to a mobile phone in same location. Apparently the Polaroid model was especially made for the grocer. Obviously with substandard components.

It's a decent sized ASDA, with lots of product selection, 24 hours opening, and friendly enough staff. But the cafe is very weird, seems to be some pizza place with frozen slices, and the pop music blaring at 6 am at loud volume was just too much. Toilets were of order, but good prices.

Getting worse and worse each time I go there. No baskets at the front, when I asked for one I got a stinking look, brought a basket to me, by the time I left 20 mins later still no baskets at the front. Layouts left on loads of shelves, gaps everywhere, dirty, poor customer service. All at 5pm, peak trade. Get a new manager!

Really gone downhill in the last 6 months. Been shopping here for years but have gradually switched to Sainsburys now. Over the last year the shelves are constantly empty, this week it was the meat aisle, fruit & veg and sliced bread sections lookingly visibly barren. There used to be lots of staff on the shop floor but now it's only online shopping people who constantly get in the way and don't seem to have any interest in customers or concerns about blocking the aisles. The prices have gotten ridiculous too: kitchen roll in Sainsburys is regularly £2 for 2. Cheapest I could find at Asda today was £2.55 for 2. They have a new range of Sourdough bread but it's more expensive than Marks and Spencer! Checkouts are almost entirely self service and chronically understaffed. No wonder the car park was so empty. Sad to see what's happened to the place.
