Unfortunately , 2 very bad experiences with this branch relating to refunding items with proof of purchase and under a week old!!
They will not give you your money back, !!
I had a lady who was queuing, hearing what?s going on, had to join in and tell manager off , for the nonsense she was telling me for not giving a refund.
Full of excuses and reasons, which are all rubbish to put it politely.
So BE AWARE,
DO NOT BUY

Went after work. It was a race to get there before it closed at 8 pm. Managed with 10 mins to spare. Wondered if it would still be open and it was! Staff were friendly and helpful even though it was almost closing time. Really grateful, thanks.

Click and collect. The damaged product and broken box was handed to us. We refused it, had a refund.
Customer service non existent..try another store.

Terrible customer service the manager brushed her eyes over my return for half a second didn't even take it out the box and goes " that's not unused condition we can't take it " when It was literally opened a week prior I took it to another store and they refunded me no problem so it clearly wasn't the policy it was this rude woman

What absolute vile atttiude we have experienced in this store today. We were returning an item as we had found cheaper elsewhere, the store assistant first looked at the item which was absolutely fine as that was a protocol for any returning items, the duty manager reluctantly then came over and had a look at the item bearing in mind it was never used it was supposed to be a present for christmas. She then accused us of using the item and wouldnt be able to put it back on the shelf, her manner was atrocious and the way she treated us as customers was absolutely shocking she argued with us telling us we used it and she wasnt returning it... it was purchased less than a week ago. We told her that it hadnt been used and were then threatened with security. She then proceeded to tell us she wasnt dealing with us and went onto try and serve another customer The duty manager amanda showed absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever we then proceeded to visit another store which within a short few seconds noticed that it was returned previously and that it was bascially a second hand item for full price. Some serious retraining needed or shouldnt have such a role within customer service.

My husband and myself (who are in our 70's) went to collect a large television. The young man brought it to the counter, slid it across the floor to us, then ignored us. My husband had to ask him if he would help us place it on the trolley. He proceeded to do this very reluctantly. Although the box was much larger than the trolley it was evident he was not going to help us further. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. We were stressed at getting the large box to the car whilst balancing it on a trolley.

If I could leave zero stars I would leave zero stars. Stupid systems that make no logical sense and expect for you to pay for a product twice. You would think with all the closures Argos are experiencing that they would be doing everything in their power to get/keep repeat custom from people. Duty manager is arrogant and rude and awkward. I have worked in customer service for 12 years and haven?t, rolled my eyes, sighed or implied someone is thick in those 12 years as many times as this boy did in the 3 minute conversation I had with him. Vile attitude and certainly not capable of a management role. The first thing I was taught in customer service was to keep your cool, keep smiling, always keep calm and to de-escalate situations and he did the opposite of all of these. Some serious retraining needed.

Since Sainsbury took over Argos and they closed the Caerphilly Argos, I cant do a thing with it. The Argos website is not working, it will not register things on my wish list when I am logged in. When I check the things I just added to my wish list it says nothing there, then tells me to log in while I AM logged in. Here I am a customer wanting things but it will not work. They do not appear to be aware of this and you cannot contact anyone on this subject. The help,page is of no use whatsoever.Furthermore, when I have put low rating reviews for items from Argos, I regret to say they have refused to publish them. They would only publish top star reviews.What does this tell you about their review system? That is CANNOT BE TRUSTED. I did not even know it was legal to do this. But it certainly misleads buyers into thinking that if all the reviews are so good, it must be an excellent product, so they would buy it.Buyers are not allowed to see the faults and bad points of a product.It reminds me of the star ratings on Amazon. You can see the percentages of low ratings but when you try to see them, you are told...there are no reviews in this category.
