Location is superb, and the outside facilities are equally superb, very family friendly. On such a sunny day, we ordered food to eat outside in the garden area, and TBF, the food as expected was great. My issue started when the food was brought out with no cutlery, not a major drama as more than happy to walk back to the bar to collect some, extra steps and all that. But then I saw the cutlery on offer, those awful wooden things. I completely understand and agree with the use of such cutlery for sustainability IF we had been ordering a take away, but we were eating outside in their lovely outside area. In fact, the reason we opted not to go to another food facility, was because the only option was take away, where we would have had to use the wooden cutlery. We went to this pub as a safe alternative, because we were eating their food on their premises. Then when I got back to my table, the wooden knife would not cut through the jacket potato, so I could only part enjoy the food. The issue is minor and very 1st world, but it hampered the experience.

It?s really sad what Nick has done to this once decent pub.
Seriously don?t bother coming here, it?s so run down out dated it?s depressing.
Don?t come here if you enjoy a drink in the sun. They serve drinks in plastic cups!!!! What an absolute joke this place has turned into.
Head down the road to the castle, it blows this dump out of the water. Way better food and they serve drinks in the correct glasses.

The hotel staff are so helpful!
We stayed here for 1 night as good location without the price tag for a gig.
We had an issue with Expedia booking an extra room on our booking. We were left feeling frustrated as not able to be resolved but, the staff were so reassuring that they would help resolve this. A huge thank you to Lloyd front reception for being so supportive and professional in helping to manage the situation.
From checking in to leaving the staff have been so welcoming.
The pub garden was perfect for a few drinks in the sunshine before heading into the centre.
Will definitely stay again.

I recently attended a wake for my Great Aunt at the Coach and Horses Inn - it was a great venue for the wake, as it was one of my Aunt?s favourite restaurants.
The hospitality and food were excellent. Drinks were competitively priced and the range of drinks was good.

Great location, foods expensive for the portion size...but at least you're allowed to eat outside now. Kids climbing frames could do with a refurb.

Strange requirements when ordering food on a Sunday. We were told in no uncertain terms we could not eat a meal inside the pub. The pub at this time was 90% empty. On a Sunday apparently if you do not want a full lunch you had to eat outdoors! We ordered a baguette advertised with chips arrived with crisps. Another customer in the bar at the time remarked to us how rude this was. We would not come back.

What a wonderful day we had hosted by the fab staff at the Coach for our dad?s 80th. The space is absolutely amazing. 20 of us present. It catered for the little ones who were kept occupied by the fantastic play area in between food. Cannot thank them enough for helping to make beautiful memories for our dad????

A pint of Rev James and a Sunday lunch was enjoyable. Next time we visit we will book an earlier table as it was fairly busy, nonetheless a very pleasant visit.
+ Lots of parking
- Roast potatoes were over cooked
