The meal was fantastic, the filet steak cooked on the Blackrock Stone was a great experience and my wife loved her Salmon dish. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. Would thoroughly recommend going.

Unpretentious pub with excellent home cooked food. We visited with family including our five year old granddaughter. The pub was pretty full when we arrived at 6pm on a Friday so I was glad re reserved a table We were served almost immediately. The food arrived after around 15 minutes. We ordered two home cooked beef curries . These were gorgeous and plentiful. We choose half .The curry also came with a pompodom and side salad . My daughter in law has lasagna and chips which was sufficient for two people My husband had chicken in a pepper sauce which he loved. The children's menu although small was good and very reasonable at £3.95 . If you want good unpretentious hone cooked food served up with a smile and in generous portions this is the place for you .

We had the steak cooked on a stone which allows you to cook the steak to your liking, and it was amazing. It comes with 3 sauces which were all delicious. The steak was good quality. The staff were very friendly and the pub has a homely feel to it.

I would strongly advise that if you want to dine here for Sunday lunch you book in advance, the pub was packed and remained very busy. It was easy to understand why when my roast lamb arrived. It was superb. Plenty of vegetables, potatoes and gravy. All served piping hot. The service was great and the staff a very accommodating. A great dinning experience.

Fantastic food good prices nice range of drinks. Only problem foul mouthed locals. They were very load and the language coming from them was not on. They didn't cear that there where children eating in the pub. Or for anyone else Get them out and the place would be perfect

We met here to meet up on the eve of a family funeral. The meal had been booked, meals ordered, and a deposit paid. With this in mind, and the time slot booked, we expected everything to run smoothly. Unfortunately as it was quite busy that night, things didn?t go as planned. The meals were brought out at different times, the order was wrong, and 2 meals were forgotten about altogether until we complained. There was no tartare sauce or ketchup which is poor considering the restaurants reviews. Surely a member of staff could have popped to a local shop rather than just saying there wasn?t any. Not very professional in my opinion. The food in general was very nice, but the service wasn?t and it caused stress to the family who had booked the meal

Great pub. Food was excellent . A party of 8 went for a birthday meal . Everyone enjoyed their meal . From lasagne, burgers , hunters chicken, steak . All different meals , all empty plates ? Staff were excellent, the service was brilliant . Would definitely recommend booking first . Would definitely recommend this place .

Heard good things but we finally tried it ourselves today. Food was amazing. Proper pub food, huge portions and great service. I had a mixed grill and my wife had garlic chicken. The mixed grill had a lamb chop, which is hard to find these days on a mixed grill and was welcomed. 10/10. Have booked to go again Friday and Sunday.

Had a fantastic meal here, with a few friends. Very friendly upon welcome, took us to our table and promptly ordered drinks and they came quickly too. They then took our order, and despite their warning it would take 20 mins to cook, it arrived very quickly and the food was absolutely stunning. Offered sauces and checked everything was ok. I think they did everything right and fully deserves the 5/5 rating. Will definitely be coming back.

We booked here after reading the great reviews our first visit. We weren?t disappointed, the staff were fantastic, we were greeted very warmly by Ellen and shown immediately to our table, she was so attentive and friendly. One family member was running late and the staff were fantastic about it we weren?t rushed in any way, there was 8 in our party. The food is all home cooked and delicious, well plated and good portions sizes. My omelette was so yummy it was totally delicious, we all said how nice the food was. My favourite dessert was on the menu so I was well pleased - biscoff cheesecake - Mmmmmmm The chefs bless them did an excellent job so credit to them. Overall a fantastic night, the venue is a lovely old building, wonderful staff and delicious food ****

We loved the church house inn had a beautiful meal here and loved a game of rugby Scotland v wales. A must to go to for a welsh experience!

First time we've visited and have to say was very impressed. Food was freshly cooked and great portion sizes. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Lovely atmosphere in the pub as well. Went for my sons birthday and had a great time will definitely return and would reccomend.
