I have just had yet another horrid experience at the Caernarfon branch.
I was due to have an appointment to open a 123 account & dashed over from where I was working 15 miles away for my meeting.
I was left waiting even though I had an appointment & when finally the adviser did decide to see me , she treat me so condescendingly that I felt belittled & totally unvalued as a customer. I felt that it was not possible to go through with the appointment as it was unlikely to have a good conclusion, because I was so upset.
In the end she apologised in a very patronizing manner. I did not want to deal with her .
I did get someone helpful to look at my savings account last time & set up an ISA for me, but she was the exception in this branch.
I have in the past removed my mortgage & insurance from Santander because of the treatment I have had there.
The only reason I keep going there is the staff that work on the counters have always been professional, lovely helpful people that have always done there best for me, I do not understand why the advisers are so hit & miss. Banking is a very personal matter & it would be good if everyone could be treated respectfully, even if they are in work clothes.
I sent this email to the complaints department & they did not bother replying
