Great lunch

Got food from a food truck, it was nice, the beer was cold and the outdoor seating was plentiful. I visited during a Country Music day, everyone was dressed up in Stetsons and cowboy boots, so I must have looked well out of place in my cycling gear.

Stopped off on a whim for a Saturday lunch and was not disappointed. We both chose the pasta dish and it was excellent. Service was very good and prices very reasonable. Will definitely be going again.

Sat outside in sunshine for lunchtime fish and chips. Excellent, friendly, attentive service. Lightest, crispiest batter on skinless fish was the best for a very long time. Spotless toilets too!

Just had 3 course Sunday lunch for Father?s Day. Party of six. Everyone very happy with their food.
Arancini is amazing.
Squid was delicious.
Prawns were plump and the sauce was delicious.
Lamb was perfectly pink and tender.
Beef was amazing.
Chicken was nice and juicy.
Cauliflower cheese was perfectly cooked and the pigs in blankets were a lovely addition.
Extra gravy is always a nice touch and was offered rather than requested.
Lovely crunchy roasties that were fluffy on the inside. Veg was tasty and cooked perfectly. Yorkshire and stuffing too with every meat.
Sticky toffee pudding, apple crumble and millionaires tart all went down a treat.
All plates completely cleared and a great price too.
The staff really make the whole experience even more enjoyable. They?re so friendly and accommodating and service definitely comes with a smile!

Went to the Ponthir Inn today with my husband for Sunday lunch. All I can say is that it was absolutely delicious. The chicken and roasties were gorgeous. Highly recommend.

Really nice little pub, with a varied pub-food menu. Gammon, egg, pineapple, and chips, and the chicken schnitzel with mash - perfect.

Great pub.Had Sunday lunch which was excellent. Staff could have laid tables better including condiments. However very nice food and reasonable price £54 for two including two courses and large glasses of wine.
