Went for a family meal was unsure about the car park with my blue badge so went in enquire the lovely member of staff came out into the cold with me and did it for me and then refused my money off the bill. Lovely service and even better food.

This is a classic pub and has a castle attached. Located at a beautiful spot on the river with sheep on the other side, this was a great find. Alfred Lord Tennyson was a patron when he visited in 1856. The castle turret is what is left and there is a knight on the top on a horse and holding the flag of Wales. Be sure to walk around the back for a good view of it as it makes for a great photo opportunity. They have cask ales and I had a Doom Bar. The fish and chips was good and served with peas. Definitely a great place for a pint and more.

We had our group's Christmas meal. It was delicious, couldn't fault it. The service was excellent, they couldn't do enough for us.

The place needs a good deep clean. The one member of staff who was the only member of staff we saw was, bar tender, waiter, cleaner?. You need more staff!!! Waited nearly an hour for our food. The pie I had was not homemade. The gravy was thin bisto with no taste. The chips were frozen. Very disappointing. Clean your venue. Get more staff and rethink your food. Homemade is always best. Or change your chef.

Great proper pub food, we went for Sunday lunch and had beef with all the trimmings. Portions were generous and the views over the river are lovely. Our waitress was attentive and friendly.

Absolutely brilliant. Thought just go have a drink, but decided to have lunch. Wow food exelent. Staff so accodating.only two working they fantastic and so polite. Well if need a place to go and enjoy. Highly recomend top notch x

Stopped for a coffee and a bit of a rest after walking up from Crindau. The coffee was great & good value for money. The service was quick and efficient.

The staff need to be fully briefed on the redeeming of car parking when paying via the app or the signs need to be updated to clearly state parking is only redeemable when purchasing parking by ticket machine only.Although I got my parking back eventually, the blonde bar staff was quite rude and did not want to give us our car parking back. Only when we asked for the manager did a bloke come over and refunded.
