Just got back from a night had such a friendly welcome absolutely spotless so peaceful our kids had a fantastic time on the tree swings and spotting the wildlife on nature walk can?t wait to come back ?

Beautiful settingsCute little shepherds hut had a lovely night stay!Host was nice enough!This place has so much more Potential!It is back to basics it?s glorified camping basically!Couple of down sides def need a toilet closer and the toilet block lights didnt work! Had to go to loo in the dark!Plates and cups provided but be nice to cutlery to eat with and teaspoons to make a cup of tea!Also some teabags would be nice too not everyone drinks herbal tea!Cups needed a wash!Breakfast was ok, very rustic!Warm home made bread but was served with a dirty bowl with someone else?s yogurt n muesli stuck all over the side of the bowl! Looked unwashed!Come with filtered coffee again no tea for us tea lovers!But overall it was ok, so peaceful! And the views were stunning!

We had a lovely little break at the Shepherds Hut, bbq's facing the setting sun in the evening and waking up to a view of Pen y fan in the distance. There's a nice little nature trial which takes you to the river nearby and of course if you hop in the car there's plenty to explore from Hay-On-Wye- to the Brecons. Clare was also fantastic giving us great advice and making delicious hearty breakfasts to start our days, thank you!

Went for 2 nights ended up staying an extra night as it was so relaxing had to come home for work the only thing I would've liked was a little fridge to keep the alcohol cool. The lady who owned it was very helpful and the welcome from the cat was perfect
