I popped in to have my glasses tightened on 15th June. There was a colleague on the telephone and a colleague talking to a customer. So I waited at the desk. I soon realised that the colleague talking to the customer was not talking shop, and that she knew him. They were discussing everything other than eye care. So I waited, and waited, and waited. I started to feel invisible, so I interrupted politely and asked if someone could help. The colleague said that the colleague that was on the phone would help when she came off the phone. Then promptly rejoined her conversation with her friend. There is no excuse for poor customer service.

Not perfect sorry. After choosing my sunglasses and requesting prescription lenses for them I asked if I could keep the original lenses. I was told no.

After a less than adequate experience with Specsavers I went to VisionExpress. I was seen less than 24 hours after I booked! Which was an incredible breath of fresh air after waiting weeks before.The staff were very kind and charismatic, the optician himself was the one leading the way on this front. Very friendly and engaging and took time to learn about me and teach me about the finer points of what the tests were looking for, what they were designed to look at.After my appointment I opted to have my glasses reglazed instead of a new frame. There was a cost to them but nothing near the amount I paid for new frames before.I'm very happy with the experience and happy to be back using visionexpress again.

The staff are always friendly and helpful.I can always find frames I like at a very reasonable price. If I take broken glasses in to the shop they can usually repair them free of charge. This is why I am a very regular and loyal customer
