Staff polite & efficient but carvery food quality was poor.
We were served the ends of a beef joint & lamb joint which was too tough & fatty.
Some vegetables were undercooked & hard & some of the roast potatoes were overcooked & hard. Food was also not as hot as we would have liked.

Been to this one on many occasions. Food good and service is good. Always made welcome.
Has a major problem the restaurant is not very clean, blinds Dado rails, electrical sockets. Not been cleaned for some time. Yet this is the 5 time of reporting it!! Also contact them we will have a word with the cleaning staff. If they have then they are not doing there job properly. May be one of the main managers needs to look at this problem. And get a deep clean done. Or next time I will inform the government higher power to reassess your hygiene rating. Please sort it

Great food, clean & tidy, place was busy but staff that WERE there were good. Did looked short on staff though!
Only minor thing that irked me was paying for large carvery and they run out of sausages ?

Being a regular customer, I have always used vouchers when they were available, at this Carvery.
On this occasion, the over sixties offer was on. I ate a carvery with a friend, we ordered before 4pm. When we paying the bill, I was told that the discount did not apply as we're were paying after 4pm and that the machine wouldn't amend the bill accordingly. I asked to speak to a manager, and the young lady that came along said exactly the same as the waitress. As and as it turned out, three other parties had the same issue.
Why this offer wasn't honoured is beyond me!
I feel both annoyed and let down and feel reluctant to come back.

Dined with my brother. Advertised a discount with an app. We both tried to get the app. Spent an hour trying neither of us could do it. No discount.

Beef was not edible. Turkey was ok a little dry. Good selection. Spuds are cracking and the mash.

Nice roast at a reasonable price. Also had a lovely bottle of tempranillo. Can't give the service too high a score, they didn't have to do much besides bring the bill

Been coming here for years, but the service tonight was awful, our starters where bought to our table and slammed down on the end of the table, no attempt to place the two starters to people who ordered them. We promptly paid the bill and left, missing out on the carvery. Sadly we will not be returning!!!

Nice Toby, food was reasonable but not wonderful but we were at the latter end of a quiet night. Service was helpful and friendly and staff very nice. Plenty of parking outside, we did book but it wasn't busy

I've been to many Toby carverys, and this has to be the worst. It was really quiet and now I know why.
I had a salmon and dill Wellington with veg. The choice of veg was pretty good, but they were dried out from being under the hot lights so after digging to the bottom of the dishes i had mash, peas and carrots. The wellington had been overcooked and was all pastry. After I took off the mound of pastry, there was a small piece of salmon inside, and the dill was non-existent. We complained to two members of staff who both said the wellingtons were brought in like that from the supplier. It had clearly been cooked too long and I think they need to change their supplier so paying customers are actually getting a decent size portion for their money. I did get a £2 discount which i can't complain about.

Meat is cut so tissue thin it would blow away. We ended up with scraps rather than slices. Very disappointing.
