Doing my weekly shop today, when Tesco announced that they'd like us to observe a 2 minute silence to honour the 80th anniversary of VJ day. I was happy to do it it's shameful that that Tesco didn't instruct their staff to observe it too!
Many of them carried on picking stock all around me.

Tried to ring re new potatoes which were very smelly and soft, no way of speaking to anyone in the store, tried various options.Don't have time or want to spend the money to drive there anytime soon. If I had ordered online, it seems that it would be possible.

Called in to do the big shop today and paid with cash at the self service area. Was annoyed at first at the colleague check, waiting impatiently when the colleague Stephen checked off the items, then he told me that the chocolate that I had bought, was the same price for double the size. He then went off and found the larger box and brought it back for me. I was very happy with Stephen's assistance, he went above and beyond for me, and made my day. Thankyou to him and all the helpful friendly people in Tesco Bridgend.

Supermarket itself average. Toilets absolutely disgusting ? Smelly. NO soap in dispenser, taps not working properly . With ALL the money you earn Tesco, surely you can employ a janitor to clean toilets hourly. Appalling ?

On December 12, 2024, approximately 15 minutes ago, I was shopping with my friend at your Tesco Extra store located at Cowbridge Road, Bridgend, CF31 3SQ. At the checkout, I attempted to purchase a bottle of Martini. I am 31 years old and had three forms of identification with me, including a UK ID. However, a staff member named Karen refused to sell the alcohol to me without providing any explanation, stating that none of my IDs were acceptable to her.
Following this incident, I approached the store security staff to file a complaint against this employee. I believe the refusal was unjustified and violated my rights as a customer.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and provide an explanation. I look forward to your response at your earliest convenience.

I came home Thursday evening to find my wife shaking and crying. She had been to Tesco Extra Bridgend and been treated as a thief even though she had paid for everything.
She bought a tent which had a security tag on it. The staff member at the self checkout area could not remove the security tag.
When my wife went to leave the shop she explained this to the security guard who told her she needed to show him the receipt. This was in one of the shopping bags and she could not find it.
All the guard needed to do was reprint the receipt which is easy to do using the club card or just by returning to the checkout and printing them out until the right one is found. It had been about two minutes so easy to find.
He didn?t do that. The guard instead loudly interrogated my wife in front of other customers. The duty manager was called and he did nothing. He didn?t stop the guard verbally attacking my wife and didn?t suggest they simply reprint the receipt. Why?
My wife left the store and walked to her car. She is a defenceless small woman, and she was by herself and the guard followed her. He refused to let her leave until she had handed over the tent, so stole it as legally it was hers as she had paid for it. He threatened her so she gave him the tent.
The guard bullied her. The worst type of bullying. My wife was scared, intimidated, frightened, embarrassed and humiliated as other customers witnessed this and would possibly believe she stole the tent, so is a thief, as the tent was taken off her. What else would they think?
Though very shaken my wife returned to the store. She asked that a replacement receipt be printed which another member of staff did. It showed the tent had been paid for so she asked for it back. She told the guard he was wrong to do what he did. He did not apologise, nor did the completely useless duty manager. The guard told her she was banned from the store, because she dared to stand up to his bullying and tell him he was wrong to treat her the way he did. The duty manager still did nothing.
That security guard followed a woman, on her own, to her car and threatened her. That can never be the right action, not ever.
That guard is a bully. If that is the way Tesco treat their customers then I won?t be returning there. I used to work for Tesco and out of loyalty we still shop there 40 years later. I won?t shop there again. I did go to the shop and made a formal complaint but have heard nothing. Neither the duty manager or guard were there.
My wife complained on line but so far has heard nothing.
The behaviour of the security guard was threatening so I have reported this to the police as threatening somebody is a crime.

My usual place for shopping as I can get all I need in one place. If they continue moving items to other aisles I will have to seriously reconsider where I shop! It gets really confusing when they do this and prolongs your shopping trip...
