My nan is elderly and ordered a new sofa.. her current one had been thrown out due to ScS promising to deliver her new one the following day, the 15th. Its now the 16th and they're still delaying information on where her sofa is.. speaking to the manager Wayne of bridgend Scs on the phone he seemed to have no patience and would not let my Elderly nan speak on the phone. Unacceptable and the attitudes of the people working there are awful.

NEVER WILL SHOP THERE AGAIN
I?m so glad I joined the customers facebook page I?m definitely not alone
Foot stool stool just glued together so collapsed when 12 year old put shoes on it?s reply only for decoration so hardly used but pushes for £75 for goods I see not fit for intended use
However, your assertion that the £75 out-of-warranty inspection fee is non-refundable even if a manufacturing fault is confirmed is both legally incorrect and contrary to your obligations under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
To be clear:
? If the footstool has failed due to a manufacturing defect, as I believe is the case, then it is not fit for purpose, not of satisfactory quality, and not sufficiently durable.
? In that scenario, you are legally obligated to repair or replace the product at no cost to me. That includes inspection, parts, labour ? and any fees relating to identifying the fault.
? A non-refundable fee to determine your own liability is unreasonable and unenforceable under UK consumer law. You cannot charge customers to investigate faults that are potentially covered under your own guarantee.
Therefore, unless you confirm that the £75 will be refunded if a manufacturing fault is found, I will proceed with the following:
1. Initiating a Section 75 claim with my credit card provider for the full cost of the footstool and the sofa as a connected contract.
2. Submitting a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service, including all correspondence.
3. Considering a small claims court filing for breach of statutory consumer rights and consequential damage to my flooring.
Afternoon Mr Horton,
This is correct which as explained in our previous messages explaining if a fault is found with the footstool a repair would be carried out as a resolution which is covering a resolution being given if a manufactures fault confirms the furniture being ?''Of satisfactory quality, Fit for purpose, Durable'.
However this cant be deemed as a manufactures fault based on photograph's.
We are happy to attend to carry out all inspections as previously explained under the call out fee of £75 which wouldn't be waived. If you are happy to proceed with this we will have all concerns raised for the fault with the footstool and the payment being taken and a appointment to be made.
Without a appointment their is no confirming as a company of a fault liability based on photographs for collapsing.
Many Thanks
Good Morning,
The £75.00 out of warranty payment is non-refundable and would not be refunded if the issue is deemed as a manufacturing fault.
Many thanks

If I could leave no stars I would !
My parents bought a leather sofa and two recliners two years ago and on the insistence from the sales person took out the extended warranty !
Spring last year one of the recliners had started to peel on the arm and the leather had lost its colour . If it was all the suite we would think it was how it was being cleaned .as it was only one chair my parents contacted the insurance company . Sent photos and waited ....... they got a reply to say they were only covered for the mechanism not the covering. And they also went on to say if it was ripped they would replace so as it wasnt ripped there was nothing they could do.
So my dad went into the shop and was told if he paid £75 they could get someone out to look at it .but if it was not deemed as a manufacturer issue then he would have to pay .
My dad was not happy but asked if he could have someone call him.
Four trips to store .different people contacting head office five months later on the day before News Years Eve a lady calls and asks for photos which had been sent five months earlier. She then went on to say he needs to pay £75 . My dad was very unhappy explaining that the last time he went to the shop he was told as he had waited so long they would waiver the cost.
The lady contacted th shop and this was denied.
I explained to the lady what has happened and how long my parents have waited. I asked for a managers contact details .I was told they would be emailed to me .this never happend what we got was an email to say we could go to the ombudsman as my father was unhappy to pay.
Not what was asked for !
My parents are both in there late 70s with all the stress and upset have both been very upset with all this .and I just want to express how unhappy we as a family are at the treatment they have received from Scs and the broken promises given.
We understand error occurs but five months for a call just to reply to a complaint is not acceptable. And then again just to be given a Copy and paste email. Not very good customer service Scs .you have lost our family as customers.

we had a warm welcome to the Bridgend showroom, where the salesperson (Andy) . helped us to decide what item of furniture would suite our needs best. He was most helpful and not a bit pushy.

Good very helpful. Stewart was fab even tho he had a slow computer. But I do have a criticism for SCS. Regarding the free fitting when buying underlay. As it being deducted from the amount, then we pay fitter on the day. It does not seem like a deal. I would also like more transparency with paperwork. Like a breakdown for each room carpet cost pulse underlay ect ect. As this is my second full carpeting in a few years with SCS , I just think people like me cannot grasp sq meters so I only have a final amount . If it could be broken down into each room would be nice. Also my last order I had lino flooring which was in the fitting cost , this time it's not,

We have been in a couple of time trying to decide on which sofa we wanted to buy. The salesman we had was great, there to answer any questions but not the usual pushy type that follow you around the store.
