This account is an old account I had my grandmother opened for me in the 80s so been a customer for a long time. I take cash in and they had issues with the computer. They tell me it's fixed and write my balance down for me. I then spend that money as I believed it was my money and then says later I get a phone call. A bank manager tells me they overpaid me, that it wasn't their fault as it was a computer error and that I should of known better not to have spent all the money as it wasn't mine... They spoke to me as if I was doing a fast one and are pressuring me to pay it back at the end of the week m knowing I have not budgeted for this bill. I sadly after all this time want to shut this account down once it is resolved as I have lost trust with the Halifax and will not be spoken to like that ..

Very helpful, albeit. I'm not sure why they bother with cashiers as you need to answer 10001 questions before you see one.

Over half an hour wait to be given conflicting advice to a week ago for exactly the same issue. Only had to come back as at initial visit the computers were down. Very frustrating and just not a good enough service

An unpleasant front of bank staff who had no time to deal with customers like a simple reinvestment of a savings account because their desks at the back only deal with cash. They made me go onto telephone banking and saw customers that arrived after me. 50 minutes waiting on telephone banking. However, one young member staff did eventually see my predicament and helped me resolve everything.

Every time I visit the Bridgend branch the staff and very polite. Been with them for about 30 years no problems whatsoever. Keep up the good work Bridgend

Great friendly staff who work hard an know their job but work under a terrible phone service which the company operate which is truly terrible if you need to ring them do not bother as you will never get through to the branch just a head office switchboard who do not know their backside from their elbows I kid you not. An as from the fraud department they are above God an only their view is to be accepted even though they are wrong they will never accept it! Sadly yes I have run foul of them blocking a cheque because they said it looked fraudulent even when it was genuine. While they are there to protect they forget they also are there to serve a customer base who might know more than they do on the odd occasions. While I trust my branch I think the fraud department go on to Santa's naughty list forever more! Shame on you Halifax!!! & get a better phone system in your banks an employ someone intelligent to answer them STOP PENNY PINCHING!!!

Very, very helpful staff. Nice branch too with easy wheelchair access. Best to park by, or in, the Rhiw car park. You'll then be on almost flat ground to get to the Halifax and back.

Closed on a weekend and only open between 9.30 to 15.30 when the majority of people are in work not sure how they are staying open at all
