The worst service I ever had,they had my van for 4 weeks and didn't even look at it.i had AA to tow it away to another garage for me. I would avoid Halfords and I will never be using them again. They are very incomitant mechanics.

Dreadful service. Rude, bullying manager who talked over myself and my wife.Didn?t want to listen.Had a clutch replaced there as they offered a two year warranty. The previous clutch that was on the car when we bought it had lasted at least 4 years. The one fitted by Halfords failed after just 18 months. The same driver, driving the same way.My son took the car in and mistakenly said the clutch had been fitted by Celtic Tyres. Hearing this the manager said it was a faulty part or misfitted as should not have failed in just 18 months and just 5000 miles.I called him later and explained it was fitted by Halfords and he immediately said ?driver fault? and warranty wouldn?t cover it.Every conversation after that he stressed the warranty would not cover it.As I said, the reasonableness test would be a 50 year old woman who had no previous issues with the clutch on the car when we bought it for 4 years and 30000 miles.Now the clutch fails after 1.5 years and 5000 miles.The warranty offered by Halfords is a waste of money as Halfords decide if Halfords misfitted it or not. The part is sent to the supplier LUK to analyse and decide if LUK sent a dodgy part or not. Why would I believe this is fair? Why no impartial decision?When my son picked the car up he was told it was ?driver fault?. But it had not gone away for analysis yet so the decision was predetermined by the manager.What a disgraceful way to treat customers

Could not diagnose the suspension problem, refitted the anti roll links twice and the noise came back after 2 days each time then refused to acknowledge their fault, formal complaint on going

Very disappointed.We had an interim service carried out by Bridgend Halfords only to find our van was leaking oil from the new filter they had replaced. Engine oil warning light came on as it had dumped most of its oil on the road.Happy to give them a second chance to redeem themselves as sometimes these things happen ,we took it back and they replaced oil filter only to leave the lower engine tray cover loose with nearly all of the bolts /screws missing .Not impressed and will not be returning.
