“I've heard their prices are high and they probably would seem that way if you did 99% of your shopping at ASDA. If you only need £5 - £10 worth of stuff tho, they're ideal. Staff have been helpful on the rare occasions my anxiety-riddled arse has been able to speak up.”

“Even though I pass a Tesco every day and use Lidle for household items, I prefer to get my veg at Filko. Prices are similar, but produce is really good quality and very fresh. They also stock excellent milk, which is nicer than supermarkets most expensive brands. The butcher is also of a high quality at decent prices. Sure, things like cleaning products are a bit more expensive if you are relying on Filko alone but this really is a fantastic shop. Staff are also excellent.”

“Not a cheap or reasonably priced supermarket but worth using for gifts and treats.Handy for quick bits and pieces that you've forgotten on the main shop as well.”

“Budget retailer (this one in UK) who largely get it right. Level car park and store access. Reasonable prices and happy staff. Sad to see the move to staff replacement by self service. I k ow this is a UK thing but not progress, it's just about profit.”

“I wanted to take the time to give Claire at Asda Pyle a review. I had quite the nightmare when visiting the store today. I drove to Asda’s with my baby in his car seat (therefore I didn’t bring his pram). I attempted to strap him into the trolley for the first time (thinking he’d enjoy this new experience) but I was so wrong. He instantly got so upset and wouldn’t settle, resulting in me having to carry him around the entire shop as he was still so very upset. This was extremely difficult trying to push the trolley with one hand and carry my crying baby in the other. Needless to say, I forgot half my shopping. I had no idea how I was going to pack my bags. But one of your lovely staff members named Claire, could see how much I was struggling and didn’t think twice to come and help me. She helped push the trolley, scan each item and pack all of my bags for me whilst I held my son. She made sure I was ok leaving the store and was just so lovely, understanding and helpful. I left there feeling so grateful to have had her help and really wanted to leave Claire a review for her assistance today. I’m not quite sure how I would have managed otherwise. What a truly lovely, kind hearted person. Faith in humanity restored! Thank you so much Claire!! You are one in a million!”

“Nice little shop for your top up shopping or a last minute shop. There's quite a good variety of food, drinks and other things for the house but not everything you need. It's quite handy as a local shop but prices aren't the cheapest”

“It's improved so much lately, and they've stopped trying to give away copies of the awful Sun.Great selection of produce for a small store. The breakfast wrap in the hot section is delicious, love the bacon and cheese turnover too.Use by dates are a bit all over the place so make sure you check the dates on everything before buying.”

“-I’ve always found the staff helpful.
-I really like this shop because it’s local and has extended opening hours which are very attractive. There aren’t many grocery shops open until 11pm most days.”

“Has the things you would use everyday, but pretty much all food which is fine. It's a ghost town in there, I feel as if nobody goes in there, it is a little bit more expensive than Aldi but I think has more of a selection.”

“Tried to ring re new potatoes which were very smelly and soft, no way of speaking to anyone in the store, tried various options.Don't have time or want to spend the money to drive there anytime soon. If I had ordered online, it seems that it would be possible.”

“Dave at tesco Brewers Lane Bridgend went further than an extra mile to help me in a search for a specific item. What a credit to the tesco organisation. The item was unavailable but Dave managed to find some. You are the man DAVE?”

“Not my usual place to shop, but needed to grab some food in the cafe. Things didn't go to plan(they stop serving hot food at 5) however the lady working behind the counter was really nice and helpful. If you need an employee of the month, you have one here. 1715pm. Thursday 26th October.”

“Conveniently placed in shopping centre with ample parking. Very clean with good staff. Wide range of products, not particularly cheap but saves travelling to out of town hypermarkets.”

“I called in here for a newspaper after a bike ride up from Bridgend. Unfortunately they don't sell newspapers but the owner of the shop (possibly the nicest man in the world) gave me directions to nearby shops that sell them, bowed to me, and then wished me (a total stranger to the area) a nice day. The perfect gentleman.”
