I don't like leaving poor reviews but please, don't order a sandwich unless you like it dry and bready. Some of the other food coming out looked quite nice, so I must have made a bad choice.
There is a rule with sandwiches ? the bread to filling ratio has gotta be right. Massive thick slices of dry white bread and one slice of thin packet ham ? At £11.50 for a sandwich and a tea, I want it to be nice and to be fair, it's hard to get a sandwich wrong. I tried to eat it, added mayo to moisten it and it was nasty. The amount of dry, dry bread is the problem.
Otherwise, a nice place & staff were OK ??

Last time we visited, the cafe was really busy and we didn?t have a great experience. We thought we?d give it another go and this time we were the only customers so no excuses. Immediately it felt uninviting when reading signs on the booths saying only parties of 4 can sit there, no caveat about busy periods (which is completely understandable, if there?s nowhere else to sit) It just comes across as a bit rude.
The food would?ve been ok if it was properly cooked but we had a lot of chewy uncooked rind on the bacon, partially cooked sloppy egg whites which is a big no no for me, fried tomato looked cooked on the outside but still crunchy inside, toast which must?ve been shown the toaster from the other side of the kitchen and tepid baked beans. I know we?re in an energy crisis but some things you can?t cut corners on.
My wife had a breakfast bap, she opted for no egg because she doesn?t like them but no offer of swapping for another item, the remaining fillings didn?t even reach the edges of the bap, 1 rasher of bacon and 1 sausage cut in half for £7.50! My below average full English was a tenner! I really wanted to enjoy the breakfast but the quality really doesn?t warrant the inflated price.

Ordered a roasted vegetable ciabatta with no garlic mayonnaise but was served a mozzarella & pesto ciabatta instead. I returned to the counter and explained to the waitress who apologised and explained she'd bring the correct order out asap for which I thanked her. Five minutes later, I received my meal and gave thanks. However, when I opened the ciabatta, the garlic mayonnaise was still evident (they had attempted to scrape it off) along with the original pesto - neither were supposed to be ingredients on the roasted vegetables ciabatta. Didn't bother complaining again, just left my meal as the staff were obviously not prioritising customer satisfaction. Will not be returning.

Had an absolutely gorgeous Sunday lunch!! So flavoursome, good quality meat and great range of veg for very reasonable price. New chef has really transformed and upped the game of the menu and set up of the cafe - watch this space for the development onwards and upwards ? Wonderful selection of desserts made in house which are huge! Staff are all lovely and the cafe is very cosy and dog friendly ?? Thank you very much ?? safe to say will be returning plenty to try all the treats and options on menu ? would highly recommend!!

This place is getting better and better, new menu and new head chef has made all the difference. Very nice outdoor seating too.

Arrived at the cafe was relatively quiet, we were waiting over half an hour for breakfast, checked to see if they had our table number corerct or if they had forgotten to serve us, told us it won't be long before it will be served. Waitress then served a table away from us, who were a couple only after arriving and just sat down, we went up and checked again and the waitress realised she had served the wrong table. Waitress didn't care asked us to wait for ours, we asked for a refund as we weren't waiting around again, staff didn't say sorry or apologise for the mess up. Won't be going back there again very poor customer service.

Over priced for what it is. We'd spent the morning shopping and didn't fancy a cheap greasy cafe so called in here. Cakes looked nice to be fair. We were all hungry and had the dog so bonus they were dog friendly. £8.95 for a sandwich! £7.95 for a panini. I mean come on, two slices of bread, bit of cheese and ham not forgetting a small dollop of coleslaw and salad. Appreciate rent, rates, staff costs but was hugely overpriced for what it was.

I have to apologise to the blonde lady behind the counter in the cafe. It was My fault that at 11.45am on a Sunday morning that they?d run out of food and had no idea when they?d have anything to offer. I say it was ?my fault? as that?s how I was made to feel. No signs anywhere - and not a word of an apology. Thank-you for making me feel like a nuisance and an irrelevance. Never again.

Breakfast is Back - the sign said so we thought we ?d give it a go . Wish we hadn?t . On arrival our ? Good morning ? greeting to the lady behind the counter was ignored. We found ourselves a table and Menu and went up to order breakfast , it was was as if we were a great inconvenience rather than a paying customer. Breakfast at £8.95 was Average ( 1 sausage 1 scrawny piece of bacon and 1 egg) and despite ordering White toast we got brown , but dared not say anything . Coffees were really small but overall the whole experience was cold & unwelcoming.
